Yeah,I hate 'em,it's all about blenders.I use my blender every day to make a smoothie in the morning,I only use my microwave to heat up popcorn when I want to relax and watch a movie.

I don't have a problem using the microwave, although I understand that there are many raw foodists who believe cooking food in any way (but especially via microwave) takes away from the food either nutritionally or by adding unwanted chemicals that are created in the act of cooking. I'm just happy that I eat more healthily than I used to...goodness knows it can be challenging enough to be a regular vegan :).

Why would a vegetarian have anything against a microwave? It's a device to cook food... It's not just there to cook animal flesh.

Microwaves are great for warming things up, but that's about all. They're convenient, but I seldom actually cook anything in them. I know they can toughen certain foods like bread or chicken, but I don't know what they do to vegetables, other than heating them.

I like food better when it is cooked in the oven but i have nothing against microwaves

I can taste a difference in most food that's been microwaved, but it is quick for re-heating food, and some cooking, but generally, for veg, Micro's are good

Um... what the heck kind of Q is this?
I am a vegetarian...but I hold no ill feelings toward microwave ovens...lol.
What do you think we do? Cook our veggies and tofu over an open pit fire in our front yards?
