My husband is recovering from the stomach flu and he's finally able to eat, but he says he can't tell what sounds good to him. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could make him for dinner that would be easy and light on the stomach?

I'm not sure if this has been done before but I thought of it the other day and turned out really good. I had some zucchini, eggs, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and onion. I shreaded the zucchini with a cheese slicer, diced the onion and mixed the two with the bread crumbs, egg and salt and pepper. I then made them into pancake like patties and fried them on a little oil and they turned out great. Not sure if this has been done before or not but they were so good I just had to share.

It will be just me and my daughter this year and I think I rather do a brunch this year as opposed to a traditional dinner. Any ideas and for the menu? Also I would like to make maybe 4 or 5 different things to serve throughout the day.

I am making cabbage rolls (cabbage wrapped around hamburger & rice boiled in water) I want to keep some plain for me because I love them that way, but what can I do with his to add a little more flavor? He usually puts ketchup on them, and I have heard of a tomato sauce to put on them, are there any other things besides this?

Also any additional recipes for cabbage rolls would be great, thanks!

I am looking for a recipe that I saw a few days ago for a simmering fragrance for the holidays. You put the ingredients in a jar and the add water and food coloring, then simmer in a pot on the stove. You can reuse them over and over. The one I saw had cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange and lemon slices, and bay leaves. It was a holiday scent, if you have a recipe that is like this one with a Christmas scent- PLEASE let me know! Thank you and Merry Christmas.

When it comes to cooking skills I would score fairly low. I am trying to get some fish into my diet so I bought a nice slab of salmon yesterday. So I got home and throught to myself 'how the hell do I cook this?'. Does anyone have any good simple recipes? And some advice on what to look for when buying salmon would be great. Also what other fish taste great that you can easily get your hands on at somewhere like a supermarket. I am fairly open to different things and I do like the occasional spicey dish.

I'm making a medium rare roast beef for Xmas dinner. I'm already planning on mashed potatoes. I'm also thinking about roasted asparagus and roasted wild mushrooms. I need some creative advice! What's your favorite side with beef? Recipes would be helpful, but even just ideas are appreciated; I'm pretty good about winging it! Thanks!

Cakes come out alright, but stuff like cup cakes, muffins, cookies, and biscuits come out flat. They don't puff up or fluff up or anything they just flatten out. And for me that just ruins the whole point for cooking any goodies!
