I have 2 jobs and will have no time to slave over a stove. I will have 1/2 hr on Friday to prepare it and if I use a slow cooker, 8 hrs (while I am sleeping) to cook it. Any good ideas?

I am not looking for a yolk based filling. I am interested in something lighter but heavier than whipped cream. I don't want a pudding.
Thanks

I have a recipe that I am trying to make and it calls for milk, but all I have is whipping cream. Can I use it? Or is it better to use water? Please help? Also is there a substitute that I can use for eggs?

INGREDIENTS

* 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
* 2 (1 ounce) packages ranch dressing mix
* 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Combine dressing mix and bread crumbs in a plastic bag. Add chicken and shake until coated.
3. Place coated chicken pieces on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Serve with rice or potatoes, if desired.

I've tried everything. It all works fine up until I go to bake it. I preheat oven to 300F as directed and after 5 mins, you see the custard boiling in the oven, I keep baking it for 30 mins as directed, and it's all brown on top. I am using a water bath with it. What am I doing wrong? Is my oven too hot? Note: the same thing happened when I tried to make cheesecake or cookies, they just burn after 10 mins. Something wrong with my oven or is it something I'm doing wrong?

I just made preacher cookies for the first time, and I was expecting them to harden and be crunchy, but they're really soft. Do I need to let them cool for a longer time? ( I think I only let them cool for like five minutes) or did I put too much milk in? (I only put in like 1/2 cup)

I don't know.. can someone help me out?

i made a tres leches cake and was wondering how to make it more soft, fluffy and have the bottom of the cake have milk covered in it. this is the recipe i used... http://www.texasmonthly.com/food/recipes/9911_tresleches.php
What i did was, i beat the eggs first and after actually making the cake mix, it melted alittle. I think that was my mistake. However, what are some things I can do to make it more milky and fluffy and soft? Thanks!
