I put green pepper, onion, carrots, celery, potatoe and meat in it. Yesterday I added 2 12oz cans of beef gravy mixed with water. When done I can barely tayste gravy, seemed too watered down. Should I have not added water to gravy or add some flour? Doc says no salt for me since I have high blood pressure. Meal came out just ok but somewhat bland.Initially I put in 1 cup water.

I got up at 5:30am and just now at 6:20 have finished placing a pork picnic roast on the BBQ to smoke for the next 12-14 hrs. It's still dark out and the neighbours probably think my house is on fire.

Preparing duck for the first time.
Nothing fancy, can it be prepared like chicken?
Must have a southern flair.
It is one of the main entrees.

I am about to start a nice little family of my own. I have a 3 year old daughter and are now pregnant with twin boys! I've never learned how to cook. I guess I'm a slow student. I microwave very well. I can't even make bacon and eggs! I'm pathetic, I know. The only time my daughter gets a home cooked meal is when we go over to Grandma's. I'm going to be a mother of 3, and I don't want to give McDonald's all my money forever.(Eventhough I love the dollar menu!) Please help!!! I can't be that much of a hopeless case. RIght???!!!

I just made my hubby a cake, and after it was done I realized the vegetable oil I had used has been past it's "best by" date for a few weeks. Is it still ok to eat, or do I have to throw the whole thing out?
