i told my hubby to get some flour on the way home from work today...and he accidentally picked up the whole wheat kind. i don't mind it in certain recipes, so i plan on keeping it. however, i was going to make some gingersnaps(i already have the sugar/egg/mollasses/etc. mixture made) and wasn't sure if i could just use the whole wheat flour in it, since i don't feel like running to the store right now. will it effect the flavor much?

Cooking dinner and I now remember why it has been so long since I made manicotti....the shells split as I stuff them. Did I cook the noodles too long? I'm hoping someone has a tip.

My best friend and I are planning to cook dinner for two of our gal pals. For sure we're making some spinach-artichoke dip, but that's only an appetizer. We were considering pasta in breadbowls or stuffed tomatoes, but I'm sure there are more creative dishes than that. Any ideas?

I had frozen a raw steaks before their experation date and then defrosted them the following day. We did not need one of the steaks so after it had already thawed I put it back in the freezer. I am wondering if it is still okay to eat.

I heard lots of bad things lately about Non Stick Pans giving off hazardous fumes when heated, I am thinking of Switching to Stainless Steel, can you wash Stainless Steel pots in the dishwasher or do you have to wash by hand? Any suggestions on this?

I just burned the my mother's wok as i forget to switch off the stove. Now the bottom of the wok is black colour. Anything I can do to save the wok and save me from my angry mother? Lucky the stove is the electric type.

I used to have a great brownie recipe but lost it when redoing the kitchen. I cant remember it well but it was quite simple. I have searched the web but can only find really complicated receipes or recipies using American cups, which I don't have - I live in England and need either pounds and ounces or kilograms and grams.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
