It's easy!! wash your chicken and put it in a zip lock with the BBQ sauce, shake it to coat the pieces evenly, take the chicken out of the ziplock bag and put the chicken on a baking sheet or baking dish in a 450 degree oven (preheated) if it's a glass baking dish go to 425 degree preheated oven. Let it bake for about 45 minutes. Check it to make sure it's not still pink in the middle. The best way I have found to save a bunch of mess is to wrap the chicken in aluminum foil for the baking process. OR...you can buy baking bags that are pretty darn good too. either way it sure helps with the mess. We love BBQ chicken, I hate the clean up!!! Good luck. Nana

To make this a simple and delicious meal I would suggest:

Chicken (cut of your choice)
Your favorite bottle of BBQ sauce
Garlic Powder, Onion Powder and Black Pepper

Boil your chicken over low heat for 45 minutes. Remove from water and let cool. Place chicken in a ziploc bag and pour your BBQ sauce into the bag. Zip bag and shake around. Remove chicken from bag and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Place in a pre-heated 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, turning once during the cooking process. Serve and enjoy!

For deeper flavor, marinate for a minimum of 4 hours before cooking. From Allrecipes.com.

8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups tomato cocktail juice
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
2 garlic cloves, minced

8 servings

Preheat the oven to 350° F (175°C).
Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, dry mustard, chili powder, vinegar, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, vegetable juice cocktail, ketchup, water and garlic. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
Bake uncovered, for 35 minutes in the preheated oven.
Remove chicken breasts, shred with a fork (or not), and return to the sauce.
Bake in the oven for an additional 10 minutes so the chicken can soak up more flavor.
Serve on a bed of rice with freshly ground black pepper.

i like to use leg and thigh quarters or just thighs 'cause they stay jucier. sprinkle them with salt, pepper and garlic powder and bake at 350F for about 45 minutes and then pour your favorite bottled sauce on them ( my fav is sweet baby ray's ) and cook for about another 15 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165F. if you put the sauce on too soon it may burn
