I'm gona bake a chicken breast, whole with the skin and bones for more flavor and cuz its cheaper. Maybe some spuds or rice and veggies, broccoli probably.
You should see whats in the fridge and work with that. Its a good skill to learn cooking. Often times, I would have maybe an onion or a potato and that had to be dinner so I learned to cook.
Many many good things can be made from canned black beans and rice as a start. Get a wok or cast iron pan for stir frying. Be a bit creative and learn. Some things you make will be great others not so great but you will learn to cook. You can always make some rice, cut up veggies and a little meat, spices and stir fry.

Any mac and cheese in the house? A weiner? A potato? A bag of Ramen noodles? Eggs? Cheese or bread? Butter? If you've got any of these, you've got dinner! Add a hotdog or chunked up slice of bologna or a can of tuna or chicken to a box of mac and cheese or a package of Ramen noodles. Add a small potato if you're using the Ramen noodles, or any leftover veggies in the fridge or freezer. Broil some bread with butter, and voila! Dinner! I can feed a family of 4 on less than $1.50, sugar!! LOL :)

$ 13 dollars... ok, buy an asian salad pack , that is us $ 1.89
1 bottle of orange Ke-Kum-Lee sause is us $ 1.50
1 pack of chicken tenders is us $ 3.40
1 bag of brocolli and cheese rice or " risoto " is like us $ 2.30
1 bottle of coke
1 red pepper
1 onion
1 tomato
some oil
some paprika and rosemary leaves
15 MINUTES BEFORE COOK, put your tenders in water with the pepper in little squares with some onion and some of the orange sauce
Get a very thin layer of oil in a pan and add some rosemary leaves in medium , when they turn a little light brown add garlic and onion, leave them until onion is tender (that is like 5 minutes )
In other pot start doing your rice, you just need to add water the rice little packs of cheese and brocoli and that is all, will take 20 minutes.
After onion garlic and rosemary is tender , add some tomato,
then add the tenders and leave that until the tenders are crispy or nicely, do not over cook, and you can serve with the orange sauce.
When your rice is ready you just served hot.
You will take like 30 minutes only to cook this, add the salad, use some ginger sesame sauce or vinagret for the salad.
That is all.

I'm making one of my hubby's favorite comfort foods. He says it's the perfect replica of his mom's baked bean dish, and since it has meat, he'll eat it as a main course. 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 red onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 2 (15 oz) cans pork and beans, drained 1/2 cup ketchup 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 Tbsp. Dijon Fry up the beef, onions, and green pepper. Add everything else. Heat through. Place in a dish and bake for about 20 minutes at 375F. Or you can just simmer it for 15 minutes on the stove top.

Honey, it would help to know what you have in the house. We could help out a lot more. Tonight I am having goulash (fat free ground meat, whole wheat macaroni, organic spaghetti sauce and reduced fat Velvetta cheese) which is left over from last night.
Another idea is grilled cheese, yummy. Tuna sandwiches, crackers and peanut butter for a snack, fresh fruit, milk. Fried egg sandwich, with cheese. Hope this helps? Nana

make something simple and relatively foolproof like pasta or quesadillas. And if you really aren't handy in the kitchen, make like two sandwiches and have milk or something, lol. I always have that when I'm too tired or lazy to make a real meal.
