I buy pizza dough from a local supermarket near my house, but I always make the traditional sauce, cheese and pepperoni pizza. Does anyone know of any good pizza recipes I could use to mix it up a bit? Perhaps with different sauces or toppings?

I know about high glutin flour. I know about proofing the dough. But how come the pizza I make in my residential oven does not have the same thin buttery crust as a pizza restaurant? Is there some trade secret?

i was chatting with my siblings and we got to talking about the first meals we ever learned how to cook. we debated back and forth and figured out that the 'simple' breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, and sausages was the first real, cooked meal we ever did (we consider it real because of having to make the pancake batter and then cooking them, and making sure the eggs and sausages didn't turn into black objects) the other first meal we all remember making was spagetti (this was when we were about 8-10 yrs old).

do you remember what was the first 'meal' you ever cooked and how old you were?

i'm just kinda curious especially since when i talked to my friends about this it turned out the guys learned how to cook (and i mean REAL cooking. adding milk to captain crunch does not count as cooking) at an earlier age than the gals (and some gals still hadn't learned how to cook anything)

People who have tasted both, have raved on and on. So, how does it get out to the public? Providers to supermarkets? Distributers? Where do you get the chance to get it recognized? Whose door do you open, or knock at?

I'm making an Astronaut Shape cake & I would like it to be a layer cake. If I freeze it, will it be easier to cut, or should I make 2 & stack them? Would it be better if it were a pound cake?
Could this be a disaster waiting to happen?

I've been searching the net for a few good turtle recipes for soft shelled and snapper turtles. Also, alligator recipes.

I'm basically looking for some homemade recipes that are different.

Thanks.................................................................................

I live with my boyfriend and I have the house wife role, I cook, I clean, I work 6 days a week. I used to love showing of all the things I can cook for him but now I have hit a brick wall especially with my increase in hours/days at work. I am tired but I still want to give him a good meal, and I need it to be ready at a reasonable time so we can get to bed in time, and clean up isn't as hard on me, plus money is short these days, so does anyone have any ideas to realistically put the flame back in dinner time or am I asking to much? oh and last problem he's trying to put on weight and I am trying to maintain/ lose weight, but i can eat smaller portions so i guess i need some hearty recipes too? Can anyone help me? thanks!!!!!!!!

I'm feeding about 10 teenagers tonight, away from my home. I want to make and take a snack that'll be a hit -- something different from cookies or anything that needs refrigeration. Any suggestions?
