I love pie--making it and eat it! I love how there are endless variations... you can fill it with almost anything and constantly change the combinations of fillings & spices to experiment with different flavors. I love the different textures of juicy fruit pies, creamy filled pies and cool & frosty no-bake chilled pies. I love how you can be creative with the crust... different shapes along the edges or in the top crust or leave the top off and top it with a crunchy crumb topping instead. As a cook, pies let you be creative and express your individuality. The only thing I hate is the fat content of the crust. ;-)
