Anyone know a recipe of Tuna casserole with no mushroom soup used? I want to make it for my husband tonight, but his family used to use a recipe that didn't use mushroom soup (I made that for him once and he hated it). His sister is out of the country, so I can't get it from her, and all he seems to remember is that it had lots of butter in it. I can't imagine it just being Tuna, butter, noodles and maybe some onion and celery (but I wouldn't be surprised with his family). He's Canadian, so maybe it's a Canadian recipe?

If no one knows, we may just be ordering pizza tonight:)

I am cooking potato soup right now. I have it simmering and I'm just waiting for it to thicken up. Right now it is very thin and i like it quite soupy. I'm cooking it for my aunt and my uncle will be over in about an hour to pick it up.Will it thicken faster if i cook it with the pot lid on or off? Thanks

In the US I have never found Yogurt. In France I ate it all the time. It's creamier and HIGHLY more delicious than any of the 'low-fat' stuff in the US. I've never been able to find it in the US. Is it available at all?

I forgot I had 2 New York steaks in the freezer. Sale date was August 11. Is it still safe to cook if I had it in the freezer all this time?

I noticed that all the recipes say to use celery - but I am out -

but if I boil - carrots, onion, garlic, and some thyme and basil and some salt and pepper - will this make a good stock - or do I need to add something to it?

I just need a quick stock to add to some bean soups..

Thanks.

I hear that breakfast increases your metabolism and all this stuff, but I just have a few questions.
I hate eating breakfast, it honestly makes me feel sick- like I'm just going to throw it up. But I'm usually alright if I just eat some yogurt, or an English muffin. But by simply eating that is it boosting my metabolism?
And... what time exactually should I eat breakfast?
Thanks for your help- I appreciate it.

I think they should just do it...Lower the drinking age. It may be a little shaky at first but come on people we all underage drank. If it doesn't work out in a few years they can always change it back!

Many countries cook animals that Americans think are gross, but it would only be a matter of time before the public becomes accustomed to those foods.

Cat and Dog are eaten in many asian countries, with no negative health effects, this would also help with our SPCA problem here in the US.

Austrailians eat Kangaroo meat, this would maybe give Americans more jump in their step, and more energy.

We've been eating salads with grilled chicken but we would like to switch it up a little. My husband and I want to cut away from buying junk food such as sweets, chips, soft drinks, etc. Can you give me a list of things we should pick up. We have a budget of about $400. Keep in mind, we have a 2 year old too and we want him to eat healthy also.

What kind of snacks can we buy that will satisfy our sweet having taste buds?
We're going grocery shopping tonight.
