I hear that breakfast increases your metabolism and all this stuff, but I just have a few questions.
I hate eating breakfast, it honestly makes me feel sick- like I'm just going to throw it up. But I'm usually alright if I just eat some yogurt, or an English muffin. But by simply eating that is it boosting my metabolism?
And... what time exactually should I eat breakfast?
Thanks for your help- I appreciate it.

Breakfast is eaten shortly after getting up from bed. What you are having for breakfast is perfect! Fruit, non-fat dairy, and whole grain breads are the best. The act of digestion is what boosts metabolism and burns calories. When you skip meals your body thinks it's in a starvation mode and metabolism slows down. So keep it up!

It all depends on how much time you have. If you're rushing through it because you're in a hurry, that's not good. If you have plenty of time, wait until you're up a while before fixing breakfast. Consider whole wheat English Muffins (Thomas' are best). I eat earlier than I'd like because I have to go to work, but I allow 40 minutes or so to sit down and relax and eat slowly and enjoy it. It's worth setting the alarm clock a little earlier.

If you really want to speed up your metabolis... do weight training. You don't have to use super duper heavy weights for it to make a difference. Just make sure you do it right. Of course you need cardio exercise as well.

A simple light breakfast does wonders for me. I eat about 3 hours after I wake up. Anything from a biscuit, to a quesadilla, to grits, to leftovers. I then usually have a big lunch, and then a light dinner. My metabolism really kicked into gear and the pounds just melted off. It doesn't matter what I ate (but no sweets), it just worked by accident!

You should eat no more than 1.5 hours after you get up. What you discribe sounds like a good start to your day. Eating in the morning breaks the 6-10 hour fast from food that occurs when you are sleep. Hence the term "breakfast"

If you want to kick-start your metabolism you should eat breakfast as soon as you get up and it should be high in protein. Yogurt, peanut butter, eggs, cheese, deli meats, tuna, etc.

Breakfast is good for you as it stops you from snacking later on on rubbish.
Why not try some fruit with your yoghurt it would cheer it up a bit. How about some cereal. Toast and jam or toast and marmite. not too bad
