I have a recipe that calls for 3 tablespoons of non fat dry milk. Upon searching for this at the grocery store I discovered that the smallest box of dry milk I can buy costs about 7 bucks. It seems kinda silly to me to buy a 7 dollar box of dry milk just to get 3 tablespoons out of it, since my husband and I will probably not use it after that. I would like to substitute liquid nonfat milk but I'm not sure if I would still use 3 tablespoons or not. Does anyone know?

I'm thinking Almonds, Tomatoes, Tangerines, etc... But give me your thoughts and ideas and I will see what I can do. Props and points to the best of the bestest.

P.S. Vegetarian salads - i.e. chicken, etc. - no such recipes, give me recipes without meat.

it doesn't say how long it takes? it just says stir and that's all, no chill, no serve, nothing. I would think all you do is stir and then it's done yet below it it says "for a quicker way do this", how can anything be quicker if the first option has no other steps

Alcoholic roomate with a severe problem and denies it. How can you spike a drink to where it makes them either not want it or makes them sick? Any ideas?

PS Exlax doesn't work because you can still smell it.

I figured it out in my late twenties...what are you waiting for? Re-try all the foods you decided you don't like when you were 5, then maybe you can wear the big boy pants.

I just bought three chicken breasts from my local butcher which has always been great. They looked fine, smelled fine, blah blah blah. I marinated them in Garlic, Salt, and Lemon Juice for three hours, then set them on a broiling pan to bake/broil. When I took them out to test, these weird green spots were all over the tops and sides. They are roundish and raised and almost a teal color. A few fell off when I poked them with a fork. The undersides of the chicken look kind of frozen and uncooked, but they were never frozen and baked for the full time I've always cooked chicken (well done). It is the ugliest chicken ever, and I'm going to take them back to the butcher but I wanted to know if anyone has seen this before? Is it some kind of hideous bacteria? Should I be concerned?

me? 1. sam - best all round cook and leadership skills (though not the best at any single one thing).
2. Marcel - most innovative and creative, has the most potential to make a big impact in the culinary world.
3. Elia - best techniques, very good chef, needs to work on personal stuff however.
4. cliff - just a good chef, not the best however
5. ilan - good skills, but needs to be original and stop cooking stuff thats served in the restaurant he works at.

We just got back from Mexico. Their Coca Cola has real sugar. American Cokes have high fructose Corn syrup which I understand to be a cheaper substitute.
