Oatmeal is hot cereal and can be very healthy. It depends on what kind you buy though. I buy the Kashi flavored ones. They are all natural and have Omega 3 and 9 grams of protein per serving.

Oatmeal is definitely healthy as long as you eat the right kind. Instant oatmeal is full of sugar and is more processed than regular old fashioned oats. Old fashioned oats are your best bet. It takes your body longer to digest because they aren't as processed and broken down as the instant and they're full of fiber. This is definitely better than most cereal. If you want a cereal as healthy as oatmeal go with something high fiber like Fiber One. The oatmeal probably tastes better though. Try making it with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon and walnuts.

Yeh oatmeal is healthy. And if you eat it plainly, it has little fat. But pure cereals (not the sugary kind) are best. With skim milk.

Oatmeal is much healtier than cereal sold commercially. Oatmeal has no sugar, use splenda to sweetened and sliced fruit such as bananan, raisins, peaches will make it a hearty breakfast meal and will suffice hunger till lunch time.

yes, oatmeal is healthy. As with all things, moderation is key, but you can eat a lot more oatmeal than you can eat candy.
Oatmeal is high in dietary fiber. Most people don't eat as much fiber as they should in a day.
It is also high in protein and you can buy oatmeal fortified with protein.

Too much of anything will make you fat especially when you load it up with butter, milk and sugar. Eating oatmeal is good to reduce bad cholesterol levels. It improves circulation and is an aphrodisiac.

I don't know about fat, but ridding the body of Cholesterol is worth any microns of fat, which you'll burn-off anyway.

I'm personally not into oatmeal (for me it's too bland), though adding some fruit or flavoring to it should make it more palatable.
