Food & Drink - 9 January 2007

First I serve a sweet white wine with Appetizers. Usually I serve a cheese plate,grapes,crackers and french bread. I need a few other appetizers also.
Then we have a wine tasteing.
Then we have dinner with the rest of the wine.
Next is Salad
Then Desert.

i love the damn things, especially the marauchan brand. i could eat those for every meal. i can't beleive they only cost 16 cents a pack. i'd pay upwards of $1 if i had to!

I don't have any more beer, or rum, not a drop of alcohol, but I hgave a battlo of isoprophy rubbing alcohol, its 70% that s good rite? i drink 35% alcohol rum, this is stronger? can I drink this? I'm gonna have a shot, if I can't drink this, can I drink mouthwash?

I know this sounds wierd but I'm bored with the plain old vanilla or cookie dough ice cream in a cone or bowl. Is there a good thing to mix in the ice cream? or just some other way to eat it? cauz i feel like eating ice cream, but its always the same.

i'm trying to please my uncle, a very complicated character(think war & peace! yeah, the book!), he likes sweet stuff (well, not all) but rarely take desserts, i'm trying to break the tradition and wow him with any suggestion of a killer dessert, should i play with the chocolate palate? or something else?. I got a price from a catering company, the hall is included in the price so are taxes and grutuities (wrong spelling), as far as I know so is the DJ. For a buffett, with a 6 hour open bar, a table of fresh fruits and vegetables including dip and punch, wine and a sweets table with tea and coffee is $65 a person, so they told me it would be $6500.00 for a hundred guests.
THE BUFFET MENU IS:

The cake and decorations could have been included but my Grandmother makes wedding cakes, and flower arrangements, and I know alot of ppl who want to help decorate. What do you think???

I just bought a Lock & Lock egg storage container. It's airtight and watertight and keeps eggs from breaking. Everything I read about egg storage says to store them in their original container. I'm wondering if I should store my eggs in this new Lock & Lock.

I went on this wine tasting tour with my parents when I was like 18 and this one wine was described as having a buttery finish, boy did it ever. The aftertaste left in your mouth was like butterscotch. I have been searching for years for something like this the closest I have gotten were a couple Rieslings. Any body got a good wine with a buttery finish?
