Not having luck finding anything?

2007-12-31 04:09:38 · 18 answers · asked by Kelsy 1

I have a wedding coming up this summer and two of my bridesmaids will not get professionally measured for their dresses (which I'am personally paying for). They claim to be size 1/2 and 3/4 and I have tried explaining that it might not be the same size in that certain company and since the money is coming out of my pocket, I don't want to have to pay extra for alterations or order another dress altogether. I don't really see the difficulty in getting measured and they seem to be creating unnecessary problems that I don't need but I can't "un-ask" them to be a bridesmaid without seriously severing friendship plus one of the two is family. My question is, is there a tactful way of saying get it together or I will beat the crap out of you?!!!

The other day a question was posted about having dreams about your wedding and I posted, "Not yet." Well...last night I dreamed I hated the jacket on my dress and I wanted sleeves put on it. Now, today, that's all I can think about. LOL! I think it's because I tried the dress on the other day and the sleeves on the bolero jacket are tighter than before. Oops. I am going to start working out this week, but my worry is I might build muscle and the arms would still be tight. I'm thinking about buying a wrap that matches my dress as back-up. It's ivory (matching my dress) with beading on the end.

Anyway, my question is what do you like better over a wedding dress: bolero jacket or wrap?

Also, is it a good idea to buy the wrap as back-up or would I just be wasting money?

Thanks!

What aspects of a wedding dress do you absolutely hate and will most likely never wear? Is it a sweetheart neckline? Do you hate dresses with taffeta, or maybe organza?

Me? I despise beading and sequence. It's too sparkly for me.

One of my best friends of 15 years is getting married to a man that 'everyone' feels is the wrong person for her in so many ways. I know that I will be asked to be a bridesmaid. Do I say yes or no to becoming a bridesmaid when I feel that this decision could ruin the rest of her life?

Most of you answered alot of my prev. questions but I have another. A friend of mine made me feel bad about wanting another wedding. The thing is this , My hubby & I got married in july , and it was only 5 ppl who attended. We got married quickly because 2weeks after we married he was being deployed to Iraq. He promised that we would have the whole 9 when he came back. Well a friend of mine says that since we were already married that we shouldnt get married again. But we feel that we should share this with our family and friends. The only 5 ppl there , were our 2 kids , our mothers and the officiant, so really there was NO wedding , we just got married. I am 26yrs old and its every girls dream to walk down the isle but due to military I had to rush it a bit . Do you think its wrong we want a reception ? We plan to renew our vows & I will wear a dress and then a reception.

I have finally found my soulmate, the man of my dreams. We have both been married before and neither of us had a wedding, both going to the courthouse. I would love my father to walk me down the isle. It doesnt really have to be a big wedding, but a small one with our family and friends. So i guess my question is, "Is it wrong to want a wedding, the bride to wear white, and the wedding traditionals? Even though this isnt the first wedding?

I'm getting married in 5 months, and I need assistance with wording the invitations. My mom, step-father, father, fiance's mom and the 2 of us are paying for the wedding. How can I include everyone and make it look nice without it looking like it is rambling on?

I am dating a Moroccan man and I have no idea what we have to do to marry. Is he allowed to leave Morocco on vacation? I am a US Citizen and this would be ideal becuase then we can get married here. Even if he has to go back and then I can start the paperwork. If not, does anyone know what the process is for a US Citizen to marry a Moroccan Citizen in Morocco. Does it take very long to get a Marriage license. I am so confused. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Do people really pay much attention if you have linen or plastic on the tables for tableclothes? We are talking about a $1500 plus expense for linen, which would be pretty,......but is it really expected as long as we have great food, great band playing and free drinks???? I'd rather spend that $1500 and use it to upgrade to a very romantic suite in Cancun then on tables.

I would really like for my husband and I to renew our wedding vows. Not because we've ever broken any vows. We've never been separated, we have a beautiful family and are completely in love. Mostly, I just want to "re-do" our wedding. We were young and broke, so we didn't exactly have the wedding of our dreams. We don't even have any photos of us together from the big day. I would love to get a great dress, have a real photographer and share the ceremony with a small group of close friends and family.

Are there any "rules" when it comes to this sort of thing? Is it acceptable to renew your vows just because you feel like it?

Do you give both rings that come when you buy it? Both the wedding ring and the one that doesn't have a diamond?
And how long can you be engaged for?
I am proposing to my wife and do not know anything
Is she supposed to buy my wedding band and when?
