It sounds like you are more partial to the princess gown, which will be beautiful. A mermaid style would be way too formal/elegant for a garden wedding. Maybe try to find a simple princess gown though. You don't want to look like you should be in a ballroom. Dress appropriately for your outside, garden wedding. Congratulations!

I say if you want to feel like a princess go for the princess gown but I also think once you get to the bridal store you will find so many choices you may not choose either, I really believe you will know it when you see which one is for you.

Princess gown all the way! It's hard to maneuver in a mermaid gown.

A lot of it depends on what you will feel comfortable in and what looks good on your body type. I personally prefer A-line, looks best on me. Wear whatever makes YOU feel like a princess. That is what's important.

I say princess gown, but that is because I don't like the look of the mermaid dresses. Plus I think a mermaid dress will be harder to walk around in and sit down in.

mermaid is not suited for walking outside, get a princess dress and make sure it does not have to many layers under it. so it will still be light weight enough for full, or even get a small hoop for under the dress vs a lot of layers, I had half of the layers cut out because I am short and did not want to look like a weeble LOL, good luck
