What aspects of a wedding dress do you absolutely hate and will most likely never wear? Is it a sweetheart neckline? Do you hate dresses with taffeta, or maybe organza?

Me? I despise beading and sequence. It's too sparkly for me.

do you mean sequins? sequins are the little flat beads. sequence is when you have things in a pattern just for clarification there.

Now, I HATE the pick-up skirts that are so popular right now. They look like curtains. Not to mention they are going to look so dated so much faster.

this is an example of what I mean...

You guys are right-the pick up skirts look horrific. I also hate those tight fitting mermaid dresses.

Personally, I do not like mermaid dresses. Most people look ridiculous in them, unless they are the right height and body shape. Being short, I am one of those people.

I agree with you about sequence. Beading is not that bad as long as it's not too overdone. Sometimes dresses have too much going on and it looks gaudy.

I agree with the previous poster regarding disliking "pick ups" like this:

or this (and I love most Maggie Sottero dresses):

the look is too sloppy for me.

or horrendous attempts at trying to be TOO different when it comes to dress designing. For example, who would really pay $725 for this ugly bubble-skirted thing?:

or this atrocity?:

or how about the slutty catwoman look that says "I've got a great figure and I want all your groomsmen and ushers to know it". Who wants to bet that there'll be a number of these beauties left on bridal shop clearance racks...

I hate too poofy gowns. I hate anything too plain.I mean, it's your wedding dress. Be a little more creative then just plain white. Also, I'm not sure of the name of that material. But, there is this one material that is so shiny, it's just tacky to me.

I prefer sweep trains, but I could deal with a chapel. I hate anything longer. Just looks silly and makes the bride's backside look huge.

This is an example of what I'm not crazy about. This dress is that shinier material and it's just a bit too plain. It could benefit from a little beadwork, even if it's on the train or the edges of the skirt.

I'm not into the pick up skirts. They look like you forgot to iron your dress LOL.

I tired one on and I thought it made me look like a cake LOL. I'm much more non-traditional so I prefer tea length, no crazy beading, I don't mind sleeves just not of the puffy sort, and I stay away from satin.

wish me luck in finding my dress all I can find are the a-line and la poof

Puffy sleeves, puffy sleeves, and oh yeah...puffy sleeves!! I do like some beadwork and sequins, but not a lot. Same with lace...

I hate sleeveless and that 99% of designers don't offer sleeved gowns. I'm not cut out for sleeveless and am going to end up paying tons of money to add freakin' sleeves to a dress.
I know there are sleeved dresses out there, but none of them are at all what I'm looking for. Wanting sleeves doesn't make me want a dress that covers me to my neck - LOL.
