If so what do you do? Since your maiden name is the same as your spouse, there's nothing to change, but was it awkward or refreshing to you to share the same last name as your spouse?

Just curious, always wanted to know if such a scenario exists and to whom, what was it like, etc.

Groom's eyes appear sad in all photos...only smiles with lips, never shows teeth, when he's walking with bride, he's holding her hand and has other hand on his chest, in most of the candid shots he is not smiling.

My son is getting married in April. They are paying for the wedding themselves and have been very selective on the invites. My friend e-mailed me and asked if it was OK if her husband could not come that she bring a female friend of hers. We lived in a small town and I do know this woman but it is not someone that I would want to invite to my sons wedding nor does he really care to have her there. I thought this was a kinda difficult question to answer in a way as to not cause hard feelings. How should this be handled???

Ok im gonna be sending out Save the date magnets by like next week or so. My guest list is already over and im sure theres quite a few people wont come becasue they live out of state. Soooo i ws thinking in the envelope i would put in a little note saying somehting along the lines of "if you already know you wont be able to make it please call us asap due to limited number of guests were able to invite and more wanted to invite." Do you think that is rude to do or no? If not, can you help me with some appropriate wording for this?!?!? PLeasseeeee! Thanks

We are planning to have about 200 guests at our wedding I would like to invite the ladies in my office, but not my Director or Manager. Is it appropriate to leave them out or should I not invite anyone if I don't want to include the Manager and Director?

So I have to see my fiance's exGF (the one he was with right before me) at all his friends' events. Apparently they dated for a couple of years and he was letting the relationship drag because he was just comfortable but wasn't really in love. The reason why they broke up was because she was mean to him all the time, and also wanted him to propose. He never thought she was the one, so he finally broke it off. Which brought him to me. Anyway, the problem is that this exGF is in the same circle of friends as my fiance. I have had to see her twice at his friends' weddings, with more to come. Another thing is that he never pointed her out to me -- I only figured out who she was because I knew her name and she was the only girl in the crowd sneering at me. My fiance has no idea I know who she is, but it still bothers me that she stares me down. I don't even know her! How do I handle future weddings /events I have to attend where she will also be in attendance?

My fiance and I are getting hitched in a few months and we are looking for some creative ways to showcase our wedding flowers during the procession. Does anyone have any ideas? My wife was thinking of getting holders to put on the ends of the pews in the church, but I dont know. Thanks.

Where is a good place online to find a wedding dress? And if you get a wedding dress and still need alterations, is it worth it? Or should you just buy it from a store and get the alterations done there?

I had everything figured out, but then I got together with my fiaencae's mom and it went to hell. My fiaencae and I are paying for the whole wedding, but she says that his family is so big that people may not show up if they don't know who's child he is (his dad has 12 brothers and sisters who all have between 3-9 children each), so I should include their names on the invite. I understand where she is coming from, but don't know how to change the wording to reflect this change. Our wording is as follows:

Because you have shared in our lives through
Friendship and Love
We now invite you to share in an event,
A joyous occasion

The Marriage of

Jane Rose Doe
To
John Lee Smith

I took a picture of my dream wedding dress while in a moving car in the UK. All i've been able to find out about it is that its possibly a design by D'Zage. Its a scarlet/burgandy bodice, white dress and a scarlet/burgandy rose that pins up the bottom of the dress slightly so you can see the tuile. I'll try to enclose a picture. Can anyone help me find more info about it, or anything would be appreciated. http://ca.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog/slideshow.html?p=6&id=ZQTk3o89eqKkuhXQjCGV5PA-

I am having a wedding, however there are only a limited number of people that can come. Is it OK to send a wedding announcement instead of an invitation to the people we aren't able to invite?

A co-worker asked me this:

Her boyfriend's cousin is having a Bridal Shower on Saturday. It was mentioned to her in passing at a Chritmas gathering. The invitations were mailed out in early december and she did not receive one. Her boyfriend is telling her that she is supposed to go. She says that she never got an invitation and no one followed up with her to ask her if she was coming, or to tell her if/where the bride to be is registered. So, if she were to show up, or call to ask about it, she may be inviting herself to the shower.

She is fine with it if she was not invited. She also does not want to invite herself.

I agree with her and told her she would be inviting herself. I believe that if paper invitations were sent out and she did not get one, then she wasn't invited. AND if she were invited, someone would be following up on those who did not RSVP to find out if they are going.

Is the boyfriend right, or are we right?

Yes I admit it I am a control freak. My partner and I are getting married in six weeks and I have searched high and low onthe internet for the wording to the civil ceremony so that I know what I will be expected to say and can't find a thing. Does anyone know the exact wording? I know it has something to do with saying you believe you can legally marry and that of your own free will you agree to be married but can anyone be more specific than that? Please only answer with wording for England/Wales and please don't suggest that we make up stuff - this is for legal purposes the romantic one comes next year.

Thanks

I want to hire a very good college student or professional to shoot my wedding photos. My future mother in law is insisting (nagging) that since I'm a photographer myself, I should be able to teach her niece how to use the camera because she wants to be a photographer (she has no camera) and I'm getting married in July. There is NO way I can do that or even have time for it. I've been learning about cameras since 2002. I've gone cheapo with my wedding already (having it in the big backyard with a bbq afterwards). Me being a photographer, I need photos to reflect us as a couple. I really don't want a wanna-be taking my photos.

1.) I'm worried something may go wrong with my pictures and I end up blaming a family member. 2.) What if they miss the shots I want? wedding bands on fingers, the kiss, etc. 3.) There is no legal contract, nor would they want to sign one.

What should I do?Or what would you do? btw, my dad is paying for the whole thing. I just don't want to upset anyone.
