I am a non-denominational minister, and I have performed all kinds of ceremonies. I usually allow the bride and groom to personalize the ceremony by telling me the kind of wedding they want to have and what they want to have included in it.
It can be anything they can think of. As long as it is not illegal, anything pretty much goes! (I'm pretty open minded)
If you are looking to have a custom ceremony you must first check with your local and state laws. If in order to become married all you need is an ordained minister to perform your ceremony and the marriage license, you can have any kind of ceremony you want! You can usually find plenty of ministers to perform in your local paper, yellow pages, etc.
Now, about the ceremony itself:
I have seen several Goth ceremonies done in Nightclubs, Private Homes or Estates, Parks, Hotels, Castles (think Marilyn Manson and Burlesque Super-Star Dita Von Teese), even at places like Magic Mountain, MGM Studios, or in Las Vegas!!
The options are endless!! Pretty much anywhere you may want to be married!!
And let me tell you that the more inventive and the more imagination you have, the better they are!! The guests wear awesome costumes, and the bride and groom are the center of attention!
Some really cool websites to visit and get some ideas are:

I had one, and as a wedding consultant, I've helped put a few together. The location depends on several factors: budget, number of guests, theme, and whether or not you want a religious ceremony. Some places to look are historical homes/gardens, private clubs, dance clubs, and old churches. You have to figure out what kind of place would go with the look/feel of your wedding, keeping in mind that a little decoration can go a long way. I'm working on Gothic bridal consulting book, so if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail them to me.

I know alot of people wont understand your style of a gothic wedding. It supposed to be white with pretty bright colors, but if that is your thing and your fiance' isall for it then hey go for it. I think it would be fun to go to one, You can have everyone come in black and have black and red roses. And your wedding dress can be all red. I have seen some beautiful red wedding dresses. Oh and maybe there is a hurse you can rent for a limo. The old school hurse. I think it would be cool. I know its not traditional but no is doing tradtional anymore. Here are some website i hope you find helpful.

I dont have any answers, but wanted to lend a vote of support for your idea.
Do what defines you, if people would walk in and say "Now this is Jen and Steve" then you definitely got it right. You dont want to walk down the ailse in a frilly dress looking and feeling out of place just because thats what you think should be done.
Have your wedding the way you want it, people that love you will want more for you to be happy and get what you want then to see you do something that you think they think is right.
Best Wishes!
