I am already married and my friend just got engaged and has asked me to be one of her bridesmaids (not matron of honor)...Can married poeple still do that?

Yes married people can still be bridesmaids. It's not a certain criteria for a bridesmaid as it is for Maid of Honor or Matron of Honor). Hope this helps.

A bridesmaid can be married or single...the name is still the same. The only person who has the name change is a Maid or Matron of Honor...of course you can do it!!

Yes. You don't want to disappoint your friend by saying no because I am married. There is no set requirements to be a bridesmaid. Only the bride can set requirements, but if she asked you, then you meet all the requirements to become a bridesmaid.

Of course they can! You just can't be a "maid of honor" anymore. You'd have to be a "matron of honor" because your married.

When a bride asks you to be a bridesmaid, you can be her mother or grandmother! She's asking you to stand at her side as she makes a lifelong commitment. It's very special that she's asked you no matter your age or marital status. if she wants you there, and you can be, you should be!
