My husbands brother is getting married next month. He asked my husband to be the best man. My husband and i have 3 children together. Is it right that my children and i have to sit without him during the wedding and watch him walk with another women? It has been bothering me for awhile and just would like to know others input on it.

so, yea... my sister M.L. and my other sister M. are twins... they've been the closest out of all of us sisters (4 total). I'm the youngest, L is the oldest, and M.L and M. are in the middle.. the twins...

so to make this short.. her wedding is on the 29th of this month, and she decided not to allow myself and my oldest sis L. to be bridesmaids.

her reason before was because she did not want a bacholerette party. but she IS havng one.

she wants me to fix her makeup and serve punch at her wedding... but im thinking about punching her.. then letting someone cover it up when THEY do her makeup...

sad sis needs advice plz.

I am getting married next month and am having a hard time trying to find that "right" song. I don't want the tradition "Here comes the bride" song. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance.

My daughter is getting married in November. Her father is deceased and she wants her great uncle to give her away. Her stepdad feels as though he should have the honor. We have been married for 9 years. She was 24, so he did not have any influence in her up bringing. What is his role in this, and how can I keep the drama out of this wedding.

My mom and dad did this & stayed together till he passed away. Eventually, when they were able, they went on a honeymoon. My boyfriend wants a small wedding. I say we need to save that money to go on our house. What do you think? We are not wealthy but just starting out. We do have some money saved.

My adopted dad died about three years ago, and when I get married I am going to ask my uncle to walk me down the aisle (since he has no daughters-just sons). Should I dance with him? I was thinking about asking my mom to dance with me for the father-daughter dance in rememberence of my dad. But are you supposed to dance with the person that gave you away? If so it wouldn't be the father-daughter dance, for me. I don't know what decision to make. I would really appreciate help on this THANKS :)

Okay, we have 2 options for reception site.

Option 1: Reception at the church--no alcohol, no DJ, no karaoke, absolutely no dancing, but its free, a caterer would have to be brought in (we don't know any, so we aren't sure of food quality), decorations needed, and the decor is not bad.
Total: $2200

Option 2: Reception at the resturant Toucan Reef--its pretty far from the church, people would have to pay $2.50 for parking, a DJ will be there, karaoke, dancing, booze (cash bar, we can't afford it), picture perfect view of the water and Charleston's new suspension bridge, and good food, decor fits our colors (still needs more though).
Total: $3000

Hubby likes option because its cheap, and I like option 2.
Which would you choose?

I have an upcoming wedding to attend. (i'm in the wedding party).
Rather than the couple being registered, they're having a 'honeymoon bowl fund' at the reception. Do I, or should i still get them a gift, aside from the fund? I feel that I should...

Because in an off-guard moment my vegetarian fiancee said she was going to convert me too after the wedding it all went downhill. Sorry but a lettuce leaf, six kind of beans and a cherry tomato doesn't do it for me. She liked toast which is good, because that's what she is.
