Do you live by the beach? Is your anniversary in the summer? Make a picnic lunch, tell him you are taking him on a mystery trip.

If not, how about a drive down "memory lane" and take him to all your favorite hang outs, telling him why each place is special to you, and follow up with a pizza a beer and a promise of a bubble bath together!!

is there any chance you two getting away and going to a motel and have a romantic night or two... where you can swim or do things you like to do.. my son went to the ocean and asked his girlfriend to marry him.. something that would not cost a arm and a leg....if not just think of something that you both like and could enjoy and it is the thought and love you put into it that really counts.. showing him you still love him so very much...

anniversaries are a way to remember the day you met, wed or whatever... therefore it should be romantic.... a candlelit dinner, bubblebath together, and great sex....
