Okay, we have 2 options for reception site.
Option 1: Reception at the church--no alcohol, no DJ, no karaoke, absolutely no dancing, but its free, a caterer would have to be brought in (we don't know any, so we aren't sure of food quality), decorations needed, and the decor is not bad.
Total: $2200
Option 2: Reception at the resturant Toucan Reef--its pretty far from the church, people would have to pay $2.50 for parking, a DJ will be there, karaoke, dancing, booze (cash bar, we can't afford it), picture perfect view of the water and Charleston's new suspension bridge, and good food, decor fits our colors (still needs more though).
Total: $3000
Hubby likes option because its cheap, and I like option 2.
Which would you choose?

Go with option 2. You only go around once and people will remember your wedding forever as will you, the bride. By the way, you explain option 2 just a little more enthusiastically than opt. 1. I think you have your mind made up. Maybe there is a happy medium to cut costs a little. Best wishes.

option 2 and arrange a deal to prepay the parking it is an important day and the extra 1,000 will be worth it to make it right the first plce does not give you a good time and many people expect to be able to get a drink and taost at a wedding. Also the dancing and music are a big part of the day and the memories. Dont you both have a job? an extra $1.000 to $1500 to make it right seems in order to me.

in case you've gotten adequate funds a honeymoon, you've gotten adequate funds cake. in the experience that your persons and relatives are taking the difficulty to be there for you on your particular social gathering, it extremely is purely difficulty-loose attention to deal with them nicely and supply them an hazard to savor you and be mutually for a at the same time as. Cake, espresso, tea, punch and a few iPod track interior the church basement or somebody's residing house or the Eagle's, and so on. is minimum, extremely considering the fact which you've gotten adequate funds a honeymoon. it extremely is unspeakably impolite on your travellers to assume them to happen to the rite and not supply them something. nonetheless, you will possibly have the reception on the instant after the rite and basically have your wedding ceremony travellers there. in the experience that your imaginative and prescient is small and previous formed, there is relatively no reason you will possibly desire to open up the reception to truly some different persons, and there is no longer a regulation that asserts you will possibly desire to have a dance or dinner (as long as you're actually not having it for the duration of a supper time).

If you can afford the extra money go for option 2. This is a once in a lifetime (hopefully) opportunity to spoil yourselfs and celebrate your relationship. It sounds nice, but don't commit to it if you can't afford it just make due with option 1 if you have to and just try to make the best of it. Congrats and Good Luck!

option two as you have to keep the guests happy as well, who wants to go to a reception with no alcohol, dancing or a DJ. If people can not pay $2.50 for parking then they are not worth coming to the wedding reception anyway.

Option 2 is much better choice you like to have funa treceptions like dansing the conga line, champagne toast for the bride and grrom , you also want some kind of mucis also and besides people always loosen up when alchole is served, and besides the difference of 800.00 is really nothing look at waht you are getting to compared to what you wont get! the guests will want to enjoy them selfs and thinks of the reception photos at option 2 near the water, how romantic option 2 is more romantic! let us know what you decide and best of luck on your wedding you must be very happy congratulations!!!!
KEEP ON YAHOOING!!

That depends on your financial situation and your tastes. Personally I think option 2 sounds much better, but I'm not the one paying for it. If you can afford it, and you like to dance I'd go with #2...you'll have a better time I think.
Congratulations and good luck!!

mmmm, well looking at the two options i would have to pick no2 BUT if its too expensive then what about a room in a pub ? some let you have the room free because they make there money on the drinks. when you get married you can go have your pictures taken at a park or anywhere then with the money you save on a room you could go on honeymoon, what ever you do " have a lovely day "

Only $800 difference? Come on - go for the reef! He's not officially "Hubby" yet, but if he won't come up with an extra $800 to give you a memorable evening to start your lives together, you have learned a great deal about him before you have to be stuck with him.
