Singles & Dating - 27 November 2007

My parents really hate my boyfriend. I am 25 and he is 30. We both have good stable jobs, and we each own a house. One problem is that I live next door, so everytime he comes over or I leave to see him they know about it. They say he is using me and that I am in denial. They do not feel as though he has an interest in knowing them and resent the entire relationship. We have been together a year and a half. I know my parents only want the best for me, but the arguing has torn me up and made me feel distant from them and from my boyfriend. It hurts me to see the people I love upset, but I know if I break up with my boyfriend only because they want me to I will always wonder what if.

well, heres the deal. im in 8th grade, and I think this 6th grader likes me. she is incredibly cute, and I'd definately go out with her. but, if she doesnt like me, and I ask her out, id get a really, really bad rep. so, heres what I'm going on.

before she gets on the bus or walks into the cafeteria, she checks to see if I'm there (I change classes and our paths cross, and my bus is always late so I just wit there and wait for it) whenever I'm there, we catch eyes and theres this little moment of smiling before we turn away

I'm not sure if they were intentional or not, but today she toutched my arm 4 times.

lastly, she asked me if I had a girlfriend (it was a little related to the conversation though)

oh, and if you are going to say im too young to date, I urge you to go get a girlfriend, becuase you have better things to do with your life then waste time and text.

I got back together with my exboyfriend and we're doing just fine until he left my friend a comment that said that her avatar is hot and left me a comment that says that he wants me to change my cute avatar to a hot avatar and I started to cry and I was confused right now. Does he like me for me or my looks? Please be honest! I need help on this! I'm really serious on this! Also What do you think I should do about him? Okay. Here's the story.. I'm in the ninth grade. I was home schooled from 4th grade to eighth so I'm really, really shy & not all that popular at my school. I've been asked out a couple of times, but not by anyone I'm attracted to. Everyone tells me I'm beautiful, but no guys ever ask me out. I have a hard time talking to guys that I like & I get the feeling I come off as stiff & boring. I'm afraid to even talk around guys I like anymore because it feels like they aren't attracted at all after we talk. It's horrible. Yet, most of my friends know me as being one of the most outgoing in my group. It's so weird. I just wish I could be that way around guys. I know what your going to tell me, "loosen up" "don't think so hard about it". I've tried! As hard as I can. Why don't I get asked out? Why do guys look at me as if they are interested yet they never come up & approach me? I'm scared I'll never date someone I like, & for that matter anyone at all.

I was eating lunch with this guy and he sat really close, was holding my hand and walked me to my next class.... After school he went to my locker and gave me a hug goodbye and kissed my forehead a few times ..... I can't tell if he likes me or if he is just trying to play me... if there is a guy who is constantly smiling at you, everytime you're in the same club (in high school), but you dont know him, i dont know what to make of his nice smile...today, after 2 weeks, i saw him in the hall, and he smiled at me again! i dont even know him>is he making fun of me somehow? i have no idea how to respond if he says anything the next time we meet in that club.............what should i do/say???

Hey guys. Im about to turn 22 and i've been on a few dates but im still a virgin and plan to be one until i get a ring. I always thought it was a good thing but now it seems like the second a guy finds that out i either become boring or a challenge. There's a very strong vibe of deciet that my fiance is obliviously sending me. He's so wrapped up w/ his own adgenda little clues keep slipping out. Its like a repeticious pattern. One week he's happy to be around then the next week he's m.i.a. When I confront him it just makes things worse. I've tried everything in the book. And only got better temporarily. Its like switch back & forth from best friends to strangers accordingly to his moods. Whats up with that? I know i'm better off w/out him & ready to soon but I feel accountable for his actions. Like I'm failing & need to keep trying harder or smarter each time. Any leads on this? By physically confirming my gut feelings I will be able to move on. But how can I without making a fool of myself?

... my date removed her shoe and starting rubbing my leg with her bare toes. It was heavenly. So, I did the same (of course, I kept my sock on so my corns wouldn't scratch her leg).

But, I don't think she liked it much... she wanted me to take her home right away.

There was this boy who came up to me the 3rd week of school. I remembered he had asked my name b4 and i told him. i barely knew him, but neways he started talking to me. He said that he liked me and then asked if I noticed that he liked me. I wasnt talking that much , he was doing most of the talking, but neways he told me had 2 go and he would get back to me on Monday(it was friday) I thought about some of the things he said, but i really didn't no him and i didn't like him. I came to scool monday and we had to go to the gym. so i told my friend he told me he liked me. she confronted him and asked him if it was true, he just got up and smiled at me. when we got back to the class he said it was all a bet. The next day he had a hair cut and everything, looked 2times better than he did But he sent signals that he liked me evn though i didnt like him. we have never said a word since then. but he does notice i m there. why is he acting like this and not apologizing?

My kind of girlfriend(as in we went on a date and talk to each other almost every day)( hopefully soon to be girlfriend) is sick with a cold and may have a fever, but im not sure, what would you suggest that i do for her?, cuz i really want to be there for her and everything, and if i can be there for her now, it might mean to her that i will be a great boyfriend for her. so is there anything i can really do for her?, we're in high school....(and she's a vegetarian so i dont think chicken noodle soup will be that great of an idea)

i came out of an emotionally abusive relationship a year ago. and i dont feel ready for another relationship but i love having affection and sex too.

i am having a sex buddy relationship with two guys, neither of them think we are boyfriend / girlfriend but one of them was talking about being in love with me the other day and the other says he wants to get serious soon. the guy i like most has been hurt and he said he wants time to heal and then go 'full on' with me.

Ok, so me and my girlfriend have been dating for 11 months on the 3rd, We have had a lot of ups and downs but mostly ups, and when we do have downs, we fix it right away. We used to be sex active over the summer(we are in the 11th grade), like, 2 or 3 times a week, And when school started we COMPLETLY stopped, right away, and its been 4 months of no sex (which im ok with). We do practice outtercourse on and off, this past weekend, we did, and we joke about it and stuff. We wanted to shower together over summer and never did, so I asked today if we could again and this is her exact response:

I recently broke up with my bf of two years, and although I am moving on, I noticed one thing that I was scared of saying my true feeling to him. I even noticed that I am scared of being hated by friends.

During we were together, I didn't fight with him and I really haven't fight with my friends either. I have many great friends who understand me, but I just noticed that I am scared of being hated by people.

I talked with one of female friends and she is very expressive person. She is confident and can say anything without having any fear. BUT she told me that until she was over 30 year old, she felt the fear all the time for friends, family, boy friends, etc.

SO,
I am not really concerning about it and trying to tell myself that is normal.

Q1: Do you have a similar feeling?
Q2: Any good way of keeping my fear?

I just found out that my girlfriend of two years lied about her age. I discovered this on my own and quite by accident. I thought she was a year older than me, but she is actually six years older. She said she lied because she was afraid of losing me, but two years have gone by and she never told me until confronted. It's not so much the age difference that I am struggling with, but the lie.
