This is a little complicated. We are both in the military, so our pensions will be our own. Very shortly after being married a little over a year ago, I was posted away to another province, meaning that we have never cohabited. Now we don't want to be married to each other anymore, he is very unsupportive in any way shape or form, and I have been paying all the bills. I need to know, do I have to be legally separated before divorcing him? Do I qualify for an annulment because we have never lived together? He doesn't want to stay married, and we have no assets, house, children or anything like that. How long will I have to wait before I can be un-married, depending on whether I can skip the legal separation part, because of not having lived together for the entire time being married?
