I'm a woman, and I kind of think both should work. Maybe it's different in some circumstances.

After the whole anti-christ episode, our therapist thought that my wife could use a bit of a vacation. Luckily she and I have minions who can serve in our stead at the nursery school and bookstore, so we packed it off to a tropical island in the Pacific. It has been a mostly good week, lying on the beach, catching up with our reading. I swear she's red that dull german book fifteen times already. But last night, we had a bit of an issue with the staff. She requested a diet coke with lime and the server brought back one with a lemon wedge. Such insolence would not do. Naturally, as her steadfast man, I was selected to enforce the punishment. However, she insisted that we not just make an example of the individual or the restraunt, but that we had to ensure that the entire resort witnessed her justice. I think that's a little over the top, don't you? She gets emotional sometimes and loses perspective. But I vowed to honour and obey my wife, even with doubt. What should I do? I love her.

I am not talking about physically

When my daughters go over to their dads house every other weekend. The main disciplinarian seems to be his live in girlfriend. Her discipline of choice? Is standards. My 10 year old and 9 year old have spent many a weekend at their dads house writing 50-250 standards stating "I will not slam doors" ""I will not argue" "I will not talk back" "I will clean up after myself"....

I have sat back and given her the benefit of the doubt, knowing that it isn’t going to killing my kids. But now they do seriously complain about it. And do not like her.

Do I have a leg to stand on to tell my ex that his girlfriend CANNOT PUNISH my children ANYMORE? And have any legal backing?

My Ex gets my daughters on Friday until Sunday Evening every other weekend. Is it legal or right for him to leave Saturday afternoon for the weekend with his live in girlfriend and drop my kids off at her families house for the rest of his weekend?

When you are awarded weekend visitations are YOU supposed to actually be there for them? Or can he ship them off where ever he likes "cause it's HIS weekend?"

It seems that everytime we fall in love with a man and they hurt us and leave, or just hurt us and stay, we allow it to change us... The pain shows in our face and they are off doing Lord knows what, not even careing while we are devastated and holding onto memories of the man who ultimately broke his promise! Are there ANY good men out there? Godly, wonderful, polite, NON CHEATERS NON LIARS? Commited to loving one woman?? Anywhere?? Please convince me that you guys exist!

We're in San Diego, Ca and he wants a divorce. We've been married for 5 years, and we have an 18-month old son. We married when I was 17, and he was 19. I've been a housewife this whole time. How am I going to support my son, with little education (hs diploma, little college). I spoke to a legal officer on base, there's no doubt I can get spousal support and child support. But I don't know what to do. There's no money for a divorce, we have so many bills. He couldn't squeeze in the support if he wanted to. I know the money (lack of) is why he wants to leave. He says he hates being broke, that he wants to be able to buy stuff just for himself. What do I so? I'm still here with him. He told me he wanted a divorce in December. I still cook, clean and take care or him. Will it look bad in court that I'm still around? I don't have any money to leave. All of my family is in Texas. I feel so useless. I'll make sure I never leave my self open to be dependent on any man.

I just found out that I'm pregnant. I've been with my boyfriend for over 4 years and we are actually in the process of closing on a house together. We are both in our mid 20's with good jobs. We aren't engaged but have always had a specific date in mind. My parents are now are saying that we MUST be married before this baby comes. They generally are pretty flexible parents, but really won't budge on this. My bf doesn't want to rush and have a "shot gun wedding" and I'm stuck in the middle. Any recommendations?
