There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

I have several opinions on love.I think its a nice word, has a nice ring to it, and people tend to throw it around much too easily. I believe there is one perfect match for everyone... and when you find that one match, its like the missing piece of a puzzle falls into place. You're literally incomplete without that piece. And when you do find that match, that perfect match, the feelings that overwhelm you are like something you've read about in fairy tales. Your stomach turns uneasy whenever they walk into the room, whenever they look your way. At one touch of their hand, sparks travel down your spine. When they say your name, nothing has ever sounded sweeter. Being in their presence makes you feel more content and comfortable than any feeling you've ever known. And the first time you actually say those overused and underrated words, they don't even want to pass your lips, the nervousness is enough to weigh you down so heavily that you are incapable of speaking. And when you finally manage to say them, you wait shaking to see the reaction, and relief floods over you for having spoken it at all, and if the words are spoken back to you, you feel more alive than you ever have before. And when this feeling doesn't fade, when it becomes stronger day by day, that is when it is actual love and not infatuation. To me, that is love. Anything less is illusion.

True love is when you spend your whole life loving someone. Its when you make irrational decisions to be with someone. Its when you think of them when they are not around. Its when you want only them. Its when your dreams and life goals change in the blink of an eye when you meet them. Its when, in the every end, you have nothing left to give because your whole world and life has been given to them.

I believe that true love has a lot to do with contentment. There are a lot of things in this world that suck, but if you can come home and *always* be content with yourself and your significant other, then I think it's a great match.

true love is respecting who someone is. staying with them when they swerve. not trying to control them but holding them up when they fall.
