I was talking to my mom and she told me not to trust people from a paticular country and I was like omg I can't believe you're teaching me this and I also said that it was bullsh*t and a buncha crap. Then she told me to stop tryin to be smart....did I do the right thing?

tonite a big fight happened and its because my brother could care less about anyone. he is 14. he treats my parents like **** n thinks he is better than everyone. He constantly puts my sister down n picks a fite with everyone. He hurts my mom sometimes such as if her shoulder hurts he would press down on it. He made my dad lose his control. He got me so upset that i almost had a panic attack. my parents are rele loving there not bad parents at all. he is constantly putting strain on everyones emotions. Its getting out of hand . . HELP????????

i am 33 years old, i live in my parents unfinished basement. My parents are old and i help them out around the house and run several times a day to get my dad his lottery tickets. My brother lives next door and has his own toilet and he doesnt have to pay rent cause his wife is pregnant. If he doesnt have to pay rent, why should I?

I know this question may sound rediculous to a lot of you-- "why would I give money to my parents?" you may ask. Well, I grew up in a culture where it is normal for grown up children to give money monthly to their parents as a way of "thank you" and paying respect. My father has been given his parents 1/3 of his salary every month since he started working 25 years ago. My parents live more than 1000 miles away from my grandparents and my Dad send them a check every month. I am just curious, how many of you give money to your parents?

My birthday is coming up and all I want is clothes; that is all I can think of. But my parents want to get me something other than that. I already have pets, and I am not aloud to get a cell phone or computer. Yes I know there is practically nothing left. Any suggestions?

Well My father in law and me only got one thing in common, that is (you guessed it) drinking. If we dont drink when we two are alone, we can hardly say anything to each other. its uncomfortable? and when we are drinking we are friends.

Is this alright? or anybody experience something similar in their lifes with their parents or other relatives?

I am dating someone that is 25 years older than.....b4 u go there, it is definitely not for the money....I really really love him and my family with the exception of my parents......are total ***holes about us.....little do they know, I have been knowing this guy since I was 17 yrs old....we've been dating for 5 years now and he makes me laugh......i'm now 30 yrs old we have the best times....even sex.......people always stare at us or may make a smart commit....My instinct tells me to slap the sh*t out of them but people are entitled to their opinions but family is suppose to be different. Do I ignore them or curse then out?

I am babysitting my sisters, and one is 11. She thinks she can do anything she wants and I can't control her. Today she wanted to get ice cream when my mom strictly told me to only let her have 3 scoops, and she repeatedly got more scoops, more and more. So finally, I blocked the freezer, and not wanting to get in trouble myself, I was fending her off by kicking her. Well then she realized that made me mad, so she forgot the ice cream and followed me around and annoying me. Finally, she made me SO MAD so without thinking I grabbed her and had her in a headlock, telling her, DO NOT GET NEAR ME AGAIN!!!!!! She went biserck, without me even hurting her. She called my mom's cell phone, bawling uncontrollably, sobbing to my mom and leaving her a message that I repeatedly kicked, punched, choked, and "ripped off her jaw". Now when my mom gets home, she will not only get me in trouble for "hurting" my sister, but for letting her interrupt her date! What was I supposed to do?!

I've been eating so much lately, my mom is leaving to go to Thailand in half an hour. I feel that my family doesn't care about me. Like, my mom promised me that she would pick me up one more time before going off in her trip for a month, and she didn't come. T_T I asked her why she's going and she just said "i'm going because i'm tired of your father for a while" i asked "what about me? how do you think i feel?" and she says "Oh, honey my happiness comes first before yours :)" and that made me go like this O_o. Now my dad keeps on complaining over and over....and i don't really like my dad. i love himand all but...just... :( Any helpful suggestions? I"m sad right now :'(

My dad is a kind, funny, and sociable kind of guy. Sometimes, though, he hits me when I mess up. One time, I made a dent in the wall of my room by accident and he got angry and came up to my room. He yelled and me to opent he door and when I did, he hit me with the piece of wood he was holding. He pushed me to the floor and continued to yell and said that if I told anyone, there'd be worst punishments. He also smacked me once for swearing, thought it wasn't at him or anyone in perticular. My mom, grandma, and everyone else in my family thinks it was the right thing for my dad to do. Is this the normal way that every parent disciplines their kids and I should just accept that?

He did later apologize to me, but there seems to be some hostility between us.

I don't know what to do about my cousin. He is 14, stayed back a year, and comes to my family's house everyday. He comes to play games that his own parents don't allow him to play or he can't buy for hours from like 2:00 PM to around 10 or 11 at night. He acts really inappropiately around my brothers and sisters, using profanity and talking about peverted things. I told him once to don't show my 8 year old brother any R rated movies but when I came back, they were watching movies with lots of violence, drugs, sex, and other stuff in it and he just says "So what, he'll learn about it when he's older." He will get into arguements with my 8 year old brother, swearing and cursing if he gets angry enough. I tell him to stop and he takes me like a joke, since he thinks I'm his cousin and all. When we tell him to go home and don't come for a while or if my parents yell at him for doing something, he gets all angry, slamming things and just stand there.

i lost my baby long time ago because i went to prison for a crime i never commit. i have looked long and hard for him. i am part deaf and i don't know what else to do. i have a link call reunion.com and i paid for it already. it doesn't show kids his age. i'm desperate. i never give him up. it has been almost 6 yrs now and his name is not in file on medical records.
just tell me what i should do besides going to court. i do not have money for that.

I'm not mean or anything and I'm the best kinda person to live with. I'm clean, I share and I compromise but I'm finding it hard for me to live with my best friend. She frequently has mood swings and she is very hormonal, although she is not pregnant.But she is very rude and when I ask her stuff she always gives me half answers like when I asked her how much I owed her on grocery. Now she's suggesting that we buy seperately becuz "it'll last longer" when I think that it would be spending more money a month then we have to.Plus she's starting to become very selfish, like when we ran out of soap, she had some and didn't tell me but when I had some and we ran out I offered it to her. Lately she's become harder and harder to deal with, her attitude is getting out of control.When we're in public she acts normal, she talks to me like nuthins wrong but when we get home she shuts herself up in her room and won't say a word to me, she really has a problem or is it me? WHat should I do?

and on that day
he said i could not have a specific priviledge until i apologized
i am not good with apologys
and i do not feel sorry about what i did
i feel that i was in the right
but how do i apologize so that i can get that privaledge back w/o looking like all i am doing is trying to get that privaledge back?

okay my mom used to be totally normal. but now.........
since my dad died shes been crazy
and i cant blame her. but ive been dancing since i was in 1st grade (hip hop, tap, ballet, lyrical, and jazz)
my moms now making me quit and move to texas. but the reason im not allowed to go back to dance is that (ready for this?) she wants me to be a model like she was and she thinks my butt will get to big.
can u believe her?
thats what i want to do with my life. i kno it. when i do my hip hop dance i just feel like confident which is something im not.
what should i say to my mom to make her understand shes being insane?

I've live with my parents and I got pregnant! But My parents own the house that we live in, me in the top duplex with my snotty lil sis. They are at the bottom duplex. I never had the chance to actually make choices 4 myself, unlike my friends who moved out at age 18, but no i have a baby I dont want to be embrassed with filling out a questionaire if I may step out the house,ect. Although, my mom and father doesn't work, and they said they will be babysitters, I wanna move out 2 be a real adult. I understand I wont be receiving much from the father, and moving out or staying at home would have its bitter-sweet consequences, but Im unsure whats best. My plan was to wait 4 my baby to turn 1yrs, but in the meantime...SAVE and pay off credit card bills!!!

I don't like wearing make-up because it's uncomfortable and I like wearing loose clothing. My step-mom says that I "should" or "need" to wear tighter shirts to show off my body when I don't really want to. I'm not saying that I don't like my body, I do, but I just can't stand it when my step-mom can't really accept me for who I am. I've tried talking with her, but she says that I "need" to look nice for the boys. Is it really that bad for a sixteen year old girl to wear clothes that are comfortable?! well im 13 and my sister leah is 16. leahs really mean to me. and i dont mean just mean, shes brutal to me. i think my moms to scared to say anything cuz leah will be mean to her to. shes a brat. she gets what she wants. and she is nice when our other older siblings arent around but once they are home she will consantly put me down. im extremely sensative and cry during comericals about shelter dogs or children in africa. im having a hard time with my dads death and i dont no what do espically since im moving from the jersey shore to dallas texas.

Okay here goes,
I'm a junior, and I'm just ready to crack. I've started visiting colleges, my parents are arguing right now about where I should go and I want to scream really loudly. I'm a good student, I do all the right stuff but I don't want to freak out about getting in someplace yet. My family doesn't have a lot of money so I need scholarships pretty badly or awesome financial aid. I just want to forget about the SATs and all of the other things oriented towards college. I mean I am concerned about college, and over the summer I'll have to start working on college apps but I mean right now I just want a break! I want to do stupid stuff, and not worry about everything. Then to top it off, my Mom just told me that Bennington would be a reach for me if I wanted to get in, and she said that it was because of money. Something like 80% of the people going there get some form of financial aid. Nearning a melt down point, someone please help.
