What is wrong with that? They tum to you cos you are a friend, a daughter, and a sister. They trust you. Could you now be caring then that? I always be attentive to my friends and family problems. Cos they also would be catching me when i fall. I turn to the Lord especially.

Because, whether you realize it or not, they probably appreciate your past demonstrated ability to really listen to what they're saying, and whatever advice, encouragement or sympathy you've offered in the past has really helped them.
Look at it this way, clearly you seem to have a talent, gift or skill in this area. Be thankful. Some people go years without knowing what they're good at.
Best to you.

From experience, I found that we posses the quality of listening and MOST IMPORTANT hearing. People recognize this about us. They can tell we are emotionally available and this shows we have honest concern for them and their problems. So what I do ... I accept this about myself, check my level of intolerance , my lack of patience and say " damn I'm a friend ". I hope this helps

trust me i know exactly what your going through, my friends and family did the same thing to me. &nd because they alway's came to me, that left me with talking to no one becasue everyone would talk not listen they way you n' i do. &nd if i were you i would do just what i did..stop listening. just stop b.c everyone casue me to stop talking practically and then i went through alot of problems with no one to tell. so try not to listen atleast too much. listen to whats important, and make sure you can talk aswell.

You and me both!!! It's nice to know that people trust you enough to confide in you......but I have been told deep dark secrets that I must carry to the grave with me. Some things I rather wished I didn't have to know.

You must listen well, and give wise and thoughtful responses. If it bothers you, try being as self-absorbed and carelessly rude as many people are. But that is probably not you, so you are probably stuck being everybody's Dear Abby. That's how my mom was.

I've had the same problem with my friends and family, but not anymore. Whenever anyone asks me something I just remeber, "when in doubt, dumby out"
Now when my mom asks me something I use words to avoid any further conversation like "I dunno", "got to go to bathroom", "I guess", "one sec", or "if you say so".
Now everyone just flat out gives up on me.

it could be your cool demeanor that makes people gravitate towards you. i experience the same thing. it is actually an honor bestowed upon you to be the mediator. don't turn your back on them for they seem to need and value your input.
