My father paid. He also took sole custody of me and cared for me after my mother had an affair and left us. Now, I have sole legal and physical custody of my children, because my ex wife left me. Trust men. Trust fathers.

My husband and I paid for our own wedding. It was very small. We both felt it would be better that way. Besides its a lot less stressful to prepare for a small wedding than a large one. And as far as our parents giving us a gift...I can't remember. The gifts are not the important part anyway. The important part is the union of two people deeply in love joining together as one.

My husband and I paid 2/3 of the cost. My mom paid 1/3. And his parents helped out with the extras at Costco for the party after the reception (which was about $500).

No...since parents were already contributing, we didn't want them to give us a gift.

In-laws helped pay as a gift, and my husband and I worked to pay for the rest.

My family and relatives had nothing to do with my wedding. They had issues. Husband and I will celebrate our 19th anniversary in May.

My husband and I paid for our wedding. Neither one of us even considered asking our parents to help. Our philosophy was that it was OUR wedding and therefore our responsibility.

all the wedding arrangements were done from our side that is the girl side. paying for the marriage hall, the food arrangements, the decor arrangements, then gifts for the boy's relatives and their parents and sisters above all our parents even presented the family with jewelery, and all these arrangements were completely done from the girls side .
