My mother has a lot of issues. I was taken away from her when I was young and don't see her more than once a year and when I do it turns out very very badly. I try really hard but she is mentally ill.

Is it possible for me to turn out a normal person and not have a relationship with her? I feel like this is too hard for me to deal with. I've tried so hard but I want to die whenever we come in contact. Another thing is I'm so torn because even though she says horrible things to me and has mistreated me, I want to protect her so badly. I want to help her more than anything but I just can't.

Anyone have any advice or similar situations?

my mom has been treating me real bad ever since her,her sister, and her sister g-friend all tried to beat me up over a 3500 check, and i kicked her sister over the heater. then i just got my first job, and she treats me more like trash than ever, and she won't come pick me up from work and expects me to wait outside and catch the bus. we live in acres home, and people get killed over here alot at that same bus station. and she has forbade me to see my girlfriend, because after that night, she grounded me and won't let me go nowhere.2nite she was calling me out my name and saying eff me and i can get the eff out her house and she don't care about the fact i got raped, and i need to get over that. now, she had cussed me out and stuff and then left me in my room.crying, but the good part, was that she got on the phone and repeated everything over again, and i recorded it on my cell phone. what should i do, i just don't want any trouble. i just wanna get outa here. 2 kno the rest,email me

My husband and I have had enough! My inlaws never visit us (we live 1 town over), they always do everything with my husbands brother and his wife. They never take our children without havinf my brotherinlaws daughter. If we invite then to do something with our family they always invite my husbands brother and his wife and daughter without even checking with us. The last straw was we just invited my inlaws to go to Disney with us (we are paying for them to go) Now they have invited my brotherinlaw and his wife and daughter without even checking with us first (they will pay their own way). We did not invite them and the sad thing is we really enjoy spending time with my brotherinlaw and his family but my husbands parents are making us so upset that it is effecting our relationship with his brother. He has tried talking to his mom but she says we are being foolish and that what we say is just not so. This is also hurting our children They want to know why they can never visit alone.

I had to do was help them at any time. I figured this was going to be easy. My boyfriend had to leave the state for 2 months because of his job the following week. This is where it gets gross. His mom n dad were having s e x in the basement. When I woke up I didnt see them in the basement at all. Then I looked down n saw his mom n dad NAKED on the ground! I was really grossed out. Then his parents started talking to me. Saying they might get a divorce. I asked them what I could do to help, and if they told there son (my boyfriend) yet. They said they hadn't told him yet. I asked why there were going to get a divorce. They said because their s e x life sucked. They went upstairs with me,and we all had something to drink. The next thing I saw was blackness. I woke up in bed. But not my bed. His parents bed!!!! they kept touching me and stuff. They kept asking me if i wanted to do that again soemtime. I have 1 month left with them until my bf comes back!! What should I do????!!! HELP!

I have a daughter that leaves with me, she has 2 daughters one is 3 yrs. old and the other one is 7 days old. The grandmother from the father side has filed for custody for no reason. She has lied to the courts about my daughter abusing the 3 yr. old daughter and being an unfit parent this lady has harrased us ever since my daughter got pregnant about taking custody of the baby, this lady has lied and even hit my daughter. She has called ACS on us for no reason. The have closed the cases because it was unfounded. We also filed a report on the lady way before the baby was born for harrasement on taking custody of the baby. She has also said that she can win the case because she has for money than us. My daughter is 18 yrs. old and goes to school and does take very well care of her children right now we don't have money for a good lawyer. So, I would like to know if she could really get custody? The baby's father is also against is own mother because he knows that his mother is wrong.

For the Columbine shooting, i actually think the Klebold and Harris families were the biggest victims of all because...
1. They lost their sons
2. Their boys are remembered for a bad reason
3. Although most parents of those who got killed got a lot of sympathy, the Klebold and Harris families got NONE even though their sons died as well
4. They are blamed a lot for having something to do with 4/20.
5. Their kids whom they thought were good, did such a terrible thing.
6. They have to live with the fact that they could've done something so that the shooting wouldn't have happened.
7. When they read stuff on the crosses for dylan and eric, they had to see things written like "You will burn in hell" or negative things like that.

my son & daughter are 10 & 11 and are constantly fighting, and dont know what to do, Ive always felt i was a good mum and have brought them up on my own and so thought id done a good job till now. They see their father on a regular basis and i am now pregnant with my third by my current partner of 3 years. They were close when they were young but my son winds her up and she is becoming out of control, she stabbed him with a fork this evening and recently bit someone at school. they have an okay relationship with their step father but are starting to back chat him & me. im getting so depressed but i know the doctors will try and give me pills which to me is a sign of me losing it. I misscarried our baby at 10 weeks prior to this pregnancy and since then instead of us feeling happy about this pregnancy i feel sad cos i know my kids wont be happy

im 16 years old nearly 17 and i cant cope with anything anymore,
up till the age of 11 my dad used to hit me, it all stopped hes now an alcoholic who refuses to work, my mum works so much and its really hard on us, i do well at school beacuse i work hard, i feel so sad and i cant tell anyone how i feel, everyday he shouts and i feel more relaxed at collage then i do at home, i feel so sad all the time, but i cant show anyone, no one knows how i really feel :(

Last night my dad asked me and my boyfriend to go with him to a party we didnt really wanna go but whatever. So we got to the party and the lady that was having the party was being really rude. She was introducing everyone but when it got to me she acted like she didnt even know me and shook her hand like "who cares" so that was strike 1. Then she runs up to my dad and was like "hey dave guess whos here?! Aileen!!" So im like WTF and so was my boyfriend because we both noticed that was a little strange. Then I was determined to find out who "Aileen" was. Eventually we found out and my dad was dancing with her and conversing with her too. So I went outside and the so called Aileen was leaving and he was quick to ask "hey where are you goin?!" I love my mom so i felt i had to tell her what i saw and heard. I did and she told my dad. Now hes telling me im stupid and that he doesnt want 2 talk 2 me because i gossip too much and all this other s**t. My moms not mad.Did i do the right thing?

My mother treats me differently than my siblings. I love my mother and my siblings they mean the world to me. I had always tried my level best to be a good daughter but no matter how hard i try to please her I never seem to get her aproval. It hurts me to feel this way. The only thing in life that brings me down and leaves me feeling weak and lonely is my mother's lack of affection towards me. Im not sure if it is normal to feel this way. I sometimes try not to think of it but no matter how hard i try i can never seem to avoid the conflict between the two of us. The outside world respects and think highly about me. Inspite of being known as confident person I suffer from a low self esteem, my mother has her special ways to bring me down. I dislike the way she takes sides when anyone of my siblings & I have a disagreement. I have a great job and I even manage people. But i can't have peace with the one person that matters to me the most. Do I need help

My mom always knew i had a myspace, but she didn't know what was on it. So this weekend I've been away from home and my mom called and asked for my email and pass. i didnt want to give it to her but she was getting really mad. so i gave it to her. she looked through all my messages--everything. i dont do drugs or smoke but she saw that my friends had. my parents are REALLY mad and they are never going to trust me. when they sit me down and "talk" [yell] to me, what should i say and do. it's really hard for me not to yell back even that know i shouldnt. help me.

I met a girl at my brothers wedding, spent most of the night with her and have been seeing her on and off for about a year, at the time she was one of my now sister-in-laws best briends, but they had a massive falling out just after the wedding reception and have not spoken since. my sister-in-law has said that she cannot stop me from seeing this girl, but she will never allow her back into her life in any way, shape or form (my brother doesnt care abou tthe situation, and my mum is happy for me to do what i feel is right). the problem i have is, i come from a very close family and think that with me staying with this girl would cause complications in the family, (i would never be able to have the 2 in the same room, i would always have to make sure they never crossed paths etc) but then i also dont want to end things with this girl as i think it could lead somewhere.

im just looking for some advice on what others would do in this sort of situation.

I am all the family gram has she is 86 and the doctor says the next fall will be the end of her as it will be a hip or her pelvis. She refuses to use her walker or have in home physical therapist which won't cost her a dime.

She is a wonderful and compassionate woman who I am proud is my gram. I can't live with her to care for her for various real reasons and she can"t with me.

I can legally petition to put her in a home like her doctor wants but then she may hate me...............................

Just lost as in what to do.

So my dad and step mom are moving to a new house somewhere really soon, even though they had just informed me the DAY before they bought the house.
I have an older brother and sister, but she is in college and my brother is a senior in highschool
On the other hand, my step mom wants me out of her house extrememly bad by the looks of it...and im actually a very good kid
My mom lives in Anacortes. WA. I have visited there about six times, and it seems like a dec. place. Im sort of beginning to like the idea of living with her even though her boyfriend is not very ideal, and he lives in that house.
Im worried about leaving my school . I have a fair amount of friends but only four that would miss me..and im afraid to leave them..very afraid becuase were so close. Its the middle of the volleyball season and im worried i will be behind the other girls in skill. Second semester has begun already too. im very shy at skool and i want to get away from my heartbreak/bad situations
advice??

I have two teens (son and daughter) that recently (this past December) began living more with their dad as they wanted to expore more time living with him. This was actually more of my teen daughter's idea as she did not like the way I was raising her. "Turn down the music...it's 11:00 at night", " Clean up your mess in the kitchen ", " Don't swear at me "...etc. Daughter is 16, son is 14.

I agreed to allow them to explore living with their dad who is a good dad...He just always spoiled them. I was married 23 yrs, peacefully divorced about 5 yrs. now and previously had 80% custody. I was the main parent...them mostly having ' playtime ' with the dad.

Anyway...now that their with him more, I've been finding it hard to put their things away as I miss them so much and having their stuff laying around brings an odd comfort to me.

Any suggestions as to how I can move past this emotional attachment to their left behind ' messes ' and feel fine about re-claiming my own space more?
