I made the extra effort to cook a nice and romantic dinner. I decorated my house very nice and I did not receive anything from him during my work hours. Or anytime after that. Should I be mad at him?

Please, don't say something stupid like "Click", or "Borat.

My favorite movie of 2006 was Little Miss Sunshine and I really hope that the movie taks home best picture. The Departed was great, which is why I really want Scorsese to take home best director...finally. The Queen was also good which is why I am rooting for Mirren to win for best actress (she already won the Golden Globe and SAG for it). So she should be able to snag all three. I also liked The Prestige.

P.S. Dreamgirls and all the people who played in it were an embarrassment to entertainment.

I'm 15, maybe I'm wrong, but according to my perception most parents don't really care about their kids happiness and feelings, they just want their kids to behave how they (parents) want. So, when most parents punish their kids they are not really worried about their kids best, don't mind how they feel, they just want to impose authority and make kids believe in a way they consider proper.Most parents want to be proud of their kids, but don't care if their kids are happy or emotionally stable. Most parents don't worry if they hurt their kids feelings. This is my perception, is it right?

This is for my english paper... say who you would save and why... you don't have to be specific in saying names you can just say mom, dad, sister, brother... ext. Immediate family only!!!
Example: I would save my mother because of the hard life she has been through. She is very heroic to me, I would save her also because I love her very much.

My parent is an addict, and is 80 yrs. old.. She is verbally abusive and does not consider your feelings in any way. She is very needy since she has gotten older and wants you around only if she can
use you in some way. I feel much better when I remove myself
from her presence. Yet I keep thinking, but I'm her daughter.

My sister is thinking of moving out of our town and going to live about 5 hours away with her family. The place they want to buy is beautiful they can go skiing ect...you know dream place. However it would not be a place where I would move to. Our kids are so close in age I think they will miss each other. We live in a beautiful town where the weather is amazing all the time so I don't understand why she wants to go. Should I just support her and encourage her. Oh also I have to say too she loves to do things like this. never satisfied with what she has always wanting more.

Im 14 and no one in my life knows how i feel to cover what they know my dad is an acholic and my mom works all the time to support me and my lil sis she tries to be a good mom but she treats me like her scapegoat for all her anger and frustraition, what they dont know is that ive had 7 close relatives die in one week 15 close relavtives in 5 years and heck of a lot more i dont want to tell them because they will treat me like a baby, i can not feel anything, love or hate ive blocked myself from the outside world ppl think that they r close to me but they r nowhere near it i have mostly guy friends and im good at math and reading, I ride dirtbikes, fourwheelers, I skateboard, I play paintball, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, hockey, softball, and I play the guitar and bass, im VERY good at video games I’ve beaten every halo game atleast 6 times ,I’ve been to every Ozzfest in the past 4 years I like Slipknot and almost every rock, heavy metal/death metal band there is and mostly I hang out with my best friend of 6 years CJ(16) is like a brother to me, we get in A LOT of trouble together from staying up until 5 A.M on school nights, setting of fireworks on the roof of my house, and jumping the 14 foot drop off my roof into my bushes and breaking my leg and a whole lot more we're inseparable anyways I wont open up to anyone...and pls don’t tell me to go see a psychiatrist it wont work...and I have very few friends because evryone thinks im too quiet...what can I do?

o and the other day my uncle was cutting a piece of rope with a knife that had a gut hook on it well it slipped and my lil cousin was short enough to where it was going to hit her in the head and most likely kill her, i stuck my hand infront of the knife so it wouldnt hit her it pierced my hand and went almost all the way through, i could see the metal through my skin, it was blleding hard well i pulled it out and the hook on the end tore the inside of my hand more...i didnt shead a tear and i almost died my hand is paralized for a while from the nerves...it is wierd that i didnt feel any pain?

My community is great...alhamdulillah.The problem is, there's four or five women who ruin it for everyone. It's like this: they're jealous of my family and they spread rumors about us. My dad handles it perfectly so no one bothers him. My mom, however, doesn't get that we don't need to care what other people think. She gets really mad and feels she must argue and tell those women right, but sometimes sticking up isn't the best solution especially if you don't know how to handle the situation. I don't know what to tell her. I want to her to forget about those women and move on with her life, but it's like she wants to go and argue with them and socialize with them. But they're not worth it. I don't know what to tell her anymore. My dad and I have both tried to explain that we, as a family should move on, but she wants to stick up for us in the wrong way. I need advice: what can I say that will make my mom not care about those women and their dirty politics? I don't know what to do.

ok well first to start it off im 13.and im white.
well i started going out with this mexican guy.im in 7th grade and he is in 8th so i dont see him that much,only in between classes and we have only been dating for like 3 days now. well i told my mom that i have a new boyfriend and that he is mexican. because i tell her most things that i do. she started yelling at me at how they are pigs and lazy people.and all that the mexican guys wanna do is just to get into ur pants. mexicans are normal people.just like whites or black or whatever. but she doesnt get that.and then she started going to my myspace to see what i talk about with him and all my friends.so i told her it was my privacy and she cant do.she got mad at me cause she says that she has the right anything she wants cause im only 13 and im her daughter. so she made me delete my myspace. i cried soo much.not bout myspace but how she doesnt want me to date him.
any tips for me how to deal with this? how to make her trust me?

My ex and i seperated in 2004. we have 2 kids together almost 6 and almost 3. He didn't want to see them at all when he had friends a life and all that. He hasn't seen them in over a yr. I have sole custody of them and i know my oldest misses him so much and i want my son to know his father but with the track record of only comin around once every 6-8 weeks did more damage to my son than good. I am so sick of him treating my kid like c rap. He doesn;t even know the little one that is almost 3. He recently moved away to med. hat and then told me that he had moved there "to make a life for himself". Now that he has lost his GF and everything down there in medicine hat he thinks its ok to want to walk back in their life but the question "how long til the next visit will he be back?" pops into my head. His track record makes it very hard to say ok come and take your kids....does anyone have any advice on this?

i talked to men online that i didnt know and im not to proud of it. my parents found out and flipped, now im grounded from IMing and myspace. this was about 8 to 9 months ago.how do i ask my mom if i can go on again without her getting mad at me? not like im going to do it again. i just dont want ot loose my mom and mines close relationship.

My mom needs help. She is a drug addict and about to have no-where to live. I want to help her, but I have my own family that I need to put first. I am pregnant & married with 1 daughter already. I do not want the negative influences in my life that a drug addict carries witht them. Especially a meth-addict. The paranoia, the conspiracies, the sneaking around, lying & stealing stuff. It is so very hard to see your own mother in such a horrible situation with no-one to support her. ANY ADVICE????????

My brother keeps yelling at me for random reasons. He yelled at my for not turning off the exhaust in the bathroom when he could. He screamed at me when I lost a McDonald's giftcard that only have about $5 left on it. He keeps calling me stupid, and a *****. He told my mom that he hates me and my older sister, because she didn't pick him up from school when it's not her responsibility and he could have gotten a ride. I do not know what is wrong with him. He is usually very moody, but he's been over the top lately. When he yells at me he makes me feel useless. He doesn't care about what I have to say, or how I feel. It's just all about him yelling and insulting me. Should I just get over it? I can't bear the feeling of someone I love more than anyone will ever know yelling at me and hating me. I care about him so much. What should I do?

I caught a member of my family being inappropriate with a child. I turned him into the police. Now everyone in my family wont speak to me. They all think Im lying, crazy, on drugs, made it up, ect. I moved away because I couldn't deal with all the rejection. It has been 8 months. The person I turned in was not charged, apparently the police didnt believe me either. I really believe what I saw was real, and I didn't make a mistake. I don't know what to do, I have heard all kinds of rumors that this person has started about me, and they are very hurtfull and vicious. I have not even tried to defend myself. I did confront this person before turning them in. It was that conversation that led me to realize the police were my only option. I love my family, and I dont want this to ruin the relationships I have with them, it already has; but is there anything I can do to fix it?
