Growing up, my parents were telling me and my brothers there is no money for laxtury. I never had new clothes toys or books. I was told those items are expensive,
When I was a teen ager, I started working as a babysitter and my parents took my earnings. Over the years I realized that my parents live well, go abroad on vacations, go out to restaurants. Basically, the money issue was brought up only when it came to buying 'un-necessary' items for the kids.

Years later when we were already grownup my father's business calapsed and my parents had to sell their nice home.
I have a nice career and a good pay check. Now they come to me asking for financial help. I give them a few hundered dollars here and there, but, I regret it in my heart, because I feel it is so unfair that they are coming to me for help. On the other hand, I feel really bad if they ask for money and I say no. Is there any good way to say no and feel ok with it?

I moving to West Virginina the panhandle area about 1 hour from D.C in a short time and i'm from Minnesota. My husband comes from West Virginina and I came from Minnesota and we met in the Army.
I would like to find groups, classes, around the area like scrapbooking, parenting classes,Yogi, good gyms to work out at,cooking classes.
Back at home theirs ALOT to do and since I don't know the area and my husband can't answer all my questions.I'm a little scaried to live an entirely different place then what i'm used to.
But the good side is we willn't be living in boring kansas YEAH!!No offense but this place I would go crazy in and hopefully West Virginina will be way better :)
One thing I will miss is lots of snow and ice fishing :(
I would like to know what is the best places to live, work, play and my children to grow with lots of fun things to do?I hope to give my children the best options to expand in their interests, different cultures and experiences.

My boyfriend is 19 years old. It's not the first time this has happened to him. He stole his IRS tax refund, and his previous paychecks before him. His father has stolen cash out of his wallet from him, and deems it nessicary due to him paying his tuition for high school. (It's his last year. Please no harsh words about that.) He works his butt off and he deserves his money, but his dad is so threatening, he's afraid to challange him. (Believe me, he's violent.) He does it all when he is asleep. What can he do? Is there any legal protection or anything that he could do? We live in Illinois.

And wouldn't you be in my place? If you were made of sugar, spice, everything nice, and a Chemical X, had no mother, kind of a father who is an absent-minded Professor, and two hyperactive sisters, Blossom and Bubbles, who think and act as if they are better than me!
How can I deal with my depression?

I want to teach my daughter a lesson about taking care of important things. She rarely wears her glasses, but she needs them. I bought her the glasses she wanted ($$) so she would wear them, (and she promised me should wear them) and now she lost them.

I'm single, and own my own home. My daughter is staying with me for a couple of months while applying to law school. She has a fulltime job and contributes a little to the household expenses. She has a new beau. I am uncomfortable with them having sex in my house when he visits. I also have a son in college who brings a girlfriend home. I'd like to hear from people on both sides of this issue, the parents, and their grown kids.

I'm 15, for almost a year my relationship w/ mom was kinda icy and distant. I made a mistake, I'm not perfect, and she was kinda harsh, said I had broken her trust and for some months she really acted as she didn't trust me, very cold. To me this was an emotional torture, I just made some mistakes, I'm a very good girl, she agrees and even says she's proud of me. There was no reason for her reaction, every one messes up sometimes and forgiveness is one of the most important things of a parent. Instead of submitting me to that emotional and unfair torture, she should've helped me to overcome my mistakes. She failed bad as a mom. A month ago we talked about this, I said everything I thought, said she was a kinda selfish woman, cause she wants a daughter to be proud of but no to love. I hurt her too, threw at her face some mistakes she made. Then, she proposed we forget about that and start over. She's been nice, invited me for several mother/daughter days, but I can't get over

When I was sixteen, I visited my Aunt and her husband who lived in Germany. My Uncle played professional sports, and they lived all over in Europe for years. I was changing my baby cousin in his room, and my nasty uncle came in. He proceeded to come over to the changing table, and pulled my hair down towards the baby. then, he pulled me up, and squeezed my breast hard. Then told me we should be together. Then, he must have seen the panic on my face, and he gripped my shirt and pulled me towards his face and said in this really creepy tone, "This is our little secret"... I got the baby, and went in the other room where my Aunt was, and I was in shock. I did not say anything, of course, and for the rest of the trip I just tried to stay away. I have never told my aunt. I am scared to have her be mad at me for not telling her sooner, I know she thinks this guy has been faithful but I know he hasn't. After all these years...what to do? She is faithful and true blue, and unhappy!

I am worried she will not be able to pay market rent with her income, she goes to college and work. Any advice for her?

When my mom died I swore her to take care of my older brother. He has mental deficiency. His not that stupid (he actually finished high school). All I need to do is support him financially and emotionally with the help of my father and older sisters. And to fight for him when others hurt him. We open a small store for him to manage a lot of times but it always turn out bankrupt. Problem start when he met this girl in the store. She pretended to like him and steal money and things from us with the help of my brother. She left my brother and promised to return. He taught the girl really loved him. We forgive him coz' of his status and he said his sorry, we manage to recover few things. But my brother change for worst. His always having tantrums and break a lot of things when we correct his mistakes. He even hurt my sister just b'coz my father scolded him. He never say sorry and pretend nothing happen. I'm starting to hate him. Please give me advice. My promise to my mom is holding me.

I understand that he is the pastor yet he leave as if he is single yet he is married and he doesn't look after his family properly,I mean fanancially,it came to a point where by I had to go to another city to work there for survival,I feel as if I have to look after him as all the money from the church is used for church needs, what about his family needs.when I say to him he must try to be a part time pastor he is refusing saying who will do the work of God?if he is busy working and I ask what about his family needs.I am trully not happy I even think to leave him,he is so ignorant the only thing that its important to him is the congrigation,I am not against that but he must also look after his family or he was suppose to get marride until he saw that he was going to afford to look after his family.
