No it is not true.
And you cannot bond over killing and torture, mister! Do you really want to raise your son into someone who enjoys hurting animals? In no time he'll enjoy hurting other people, too...
Upbringing is no easy business and sometimes you have to think twice, and think of the consequences, before you do something with your kids, or say something to them.
Try building a boat instead and see if it floats, such creative and constructive activities are much better for bonding!
Good luck!

I believe it is illegal to kill seagulls in the uk, also pigeons. As for the baking powder I have heard of this before, what if it did work and a Seagull fell on your sons head, they are big birds it might do your son some damage.

I'm not sure about those ingredients. I tried that once with alka selzer and all they did was foam at the mouth a little. But sounds like an experiment that would be good father/son bonding time to me. Even if it doesn't work he'll have fun trying!
Update: Never mind, I don't think it'll work for ya. I trust snopes.com

Try adventure sports like surfing...
Not tortureing animals as that leads to torturing people and creation of a psychopath

Nothing like a father showing his son what it's like to go to jail.

No, it isn't true. If this is your idea of "bonding activity" I hope you drop dead before you further pollute his soul with your evil!
