Hell, I'd be really scared as they've been dead for 10 years.

It depends (seems I use that to start all of my replies) on the situation and why one or both left that I have not seen in a long time. I don't see my father now at all, and literally put him out of my life for personal reasosn so as to not even acknoledge someone when they ask me about him.
Back on topic, I would just slam the door shut in his face though.

It depends on the reason why we haven't seen each other in a so long time. It t was because the abandoned me, or we have a bad relationship. If you keep so much time without seeing your parents, chances are you have a bad relationship.
But maybe it was for another reason. Thenn, my reaction would depende on the reasons for this break in our realtrionship

In what condition have I not seen them, because I’m abandoned, rejected, ignored or because I were living at a far distance, if the case is a problematic one, sit down with them, settle the matter because reconciliation is a golden goal but if because of a far distance, I use to hug them, hold tightly with tears running from my eyes because I love them terribly.

Knowing that nothing last forever and watching my friends parents die I would love and embrace my parents, and move right into a new relationship with them
