My daughter, who is nearly 16, goes to a private, Catholic school here in our city. And I really hate even mentioning this but for some reason, she thinks she is gorgeous and she is not. She is very ordinary looking and I don't know where she has gotten this from but she has gained a very B*tchy attitude towards everyone. But everytime she sees a pretty girl, in the mall, church, wherever.. she goes crazy, has fits and stuff. And she is wondering why no boys ever speak to her. How can I tell her it's because she ISN'T pretty without crushing her?

My daughter in law has never liked me and I have tried with her as everybody said I will lose my son. And I have. I have just seen them for a few minutes and as my mother has died, and still they are off. I have written e mails and texts to them especially after what has happened to be friends and they won't. She wouldn't let him come to my mum's funeral, and I had argued with her badly on this. And they didn't come. My mum died in pain and nobody was there for her other than me. My husband (not his father) says they are not worth bothering with.

We have been together exactly 10 years today and he still doesn't forgot that today is also my birthday. Not a happy birthday or a happy aniversary. What a day. I feel like I want to cry and the day just started.

Since before our daughter was born, her "father" didn't want anything to do with me, or her. He threatend to kill me several times...So I decided to move out and I made a better life for us.
But my question is this; what do I do when he someday just shows up, and wants to be her father?
A father is somebody who is there through all the nappy rashes, the moment she discouvers her little toes and laughs...
I do tell her about him, but I don't want to put her through the pain of waiting for him by the window hours on end...never to show up..

Alright yahoo-ers. Answers please.

My sister has taken it upon herself (and on behalf of our entire family) to tell me yesterday that I am "the" problem in our family, and no one likes it when I'm at family functions. I already know why - it's because I'm the only sibling who's divorced and didn't immediately re-marry a man to help take care of me and my children. This problem is solved - I will not attend family functions.

However, my question / problem is this: I've already bought her family gifts and am still planning to send them. I don't want gifts from her - period. If I receive any should I send them back? Should I keep them? Should I throw the box in the attic and forget about it?

who seem to be jealous of any succes you have that they perceive as better than they have achieved--career, house, car, etc. And they refuse to stay at our house because of it and if we happen to talk about any of it it's perceived as rubbing it in. for example, we are a young couple who bought our first home about 6 months ago and it's every bit as nice as theirs, and instead of congratulations, their comment was, "well, it isn't what we would have picked" and " your driveway is a nightmare" (drive way is pretty steep) and "too bad it doesn't have another bedroom or family room, and There is a lot of work to do in that yard." Then they kept talking about their daughters rental and how nice it was. How should I handle this appropriately? It just kind of pisses me off. Should I not say anything or ever bring up our house? I sent picts of some house improvements along w/ scenery picts andthe comment back was, we really enjoyed the scenery picts.

My brothers would be 37or38 and 33or34 my mother gave them up at birth. We (me and my sister) started looking last year with no luck. They were born in Toledo Ohio in a cathlic hospital. The Cathlic chursh says we can look for them but I thought as long as we were 18 (which both me and my sister are well in are 20's) and they were 18 we could look for them.Any suggestions on a different way to find them?

Now I have my own family I am slowly trying to enjoy it for my children's sake anyway. However this year seems worst! I have recently had a new born baby 5 weeks now and is recoverying from a c-section. The problem is my hubby's nephew wants to spend xmas with us as he has done for the past 2 years. I have not got a problem with this, but he wants to bring his 5 months pregnant girl friend who i have only met once for 1 hour. I do not feel comfortable about this and have spoken to my hubby who agreed at frist, but feeling pressured from is family- he has now done a u-turn saying that he can understand his nephew wanting to spend xmas with her. I am not at all comfortable and I have told him that if they come I will spend xmas at my mother with our two kids. Do you think I am going over the top? No doubt I will be the one doing all the cooking and cleaning. I know nothing about this girl other than her age. I am now feeling extremly depressed and do not know how to deal with this.

that I reached this age without "baby mama drama", but I also feel like I'm missing something. It's like sometimes I see guys younger then me who already have kids and I say to myself "sigh, good thing I didn't have kids young" but there is also a side of me that wishes I had a wife and kids. Why do I keep contradicting myself so much?

So im 20 years old, and havent lived with my parents in over a year.
We had been engaged for quite a while, and my parents knew about that. My father is stationed for the military in Japan and kept asking me whens the big day, for I live in Hawaii and hed have to make plans way ahead. My fiances parents live all over the mainland US.
I got tired of waiting for everyones schedules to work out for my wedding so me and my fiance flew to Vegas and eloped alone.

Im my fathers only daugther, and i have to tell him because he is going to write me off on his taxes since hes been sending me $1K every month so i guess he'll have to find out soon. Weve already been married for a month, and its hard every time I talk to him and not tell him. Hes going to be so upset . . would telling him in an email be too tacky when we have a very close relationship?

I elopoed with my wife, got traditionally married, lived happily for 10yrs, into 12th yr. I am a multiple professional, with own office and client base. My wife is in touch with all her relatives for the past two years except, her mother. She is not of my caste and her parents are not wealthy like us. Past two years my career graph is rising, With some difficulty I am managing exclusive sundays time with wife and child. Movies and outings are regular. Still she says I am not honest and likely to dessert her.SUSPCION is the word 4 past 2Yr. Over silly issues like my responses with my client, my client base quality, my friends, how I am compelled to stay away, how I interact with the people, all such things are under Microscope and gets annoyed, says that I am not caring. Remains silent for the days, weeks. Often threatens to leave me, kill herself. I am afraid of going home by every evening caz I don't know on what issue she becomes angry? My whole time is spent in trying to pacify her
