For people who were adopted or have adopted?
do you sometimes feel that you were actually adopted? i mean u noticed that u look different from the rest? the feeling is very strong but u dont dare to ask afraid that you might offend your parents? i mean what if my gut feelings are wrong.

for those who have adopted:
do u tell your kids ? or try to avoid the subject.

I'm 13. My Dad is 46. He used to like Cedric the Entertainer and I am pretty sure he still does. I have enough money so that he and his friends can go to his comdey in Chicago. The problem comes, my Dad doesn't really like very "dirty" comedy acts. Do you think Cedric's comedy act will have any really drity jokes? I knwo that weather or not he likes the act he will go, but I don't know for sure if he will really enjoy it. I would ask him, but that would ruin the surprise of it.

if your fiancee's parents were always so rude to you and you ask him what there problem is and he says they dont have one (when it is so obvious that they do) and you feel so out of place and birthdays, dinners and other family occassions. i love him but he is always defending his family then i get into trouble for saying how i feel and that his family is so rude and can be violent. Please help as i am so not liking the whole christmas thing

It’s not a terrible drinking problem, but it’s getting worse ever since she quit her job. She gets cranky so easily and has all of these mood swings. She hides bottles all around the house and it’s rather depressing to open the panty and find 3 almost empty vodka bottles lying behind the newspaper bin. Last week I was baking cookies that required rum and surprisingly we had it in the house. (Who drinks RUM?) The bottle hadn’t been opened yet and I simply used two tablespoons. Two days later I found the rum bottle. It was completely empty. I’m getting really worried. She’s such a nice person but her drinking is ruining our relationship.

How on earth can I talk to her about this or get her to even admit to it? She gets angry so easily and won’t see anything anyone else’s way when she is.

My mom is way over protective cuz she got pregnant at my age. ME and this Guy named Donny like each other and he has a car and my mom says i cant go with him any where not even to the movies its not fair cuz its not like im ganna have sex with him and i told her that and shes like my answers no u cant go any where with him ha cant even drive me home from school!! Right now I am in some sort of unspoken "race" with my 12 yr old brother to see who can get the best present for my parents. A few days ago he started insisting be buy the best present for everyone in the family (except me of course). Yesterday he bought 2 gift cards for them and he is still insisting he buy more. Today when we went shopping he bought new curtains for my mom and a rug for my dad. He almost went to staples too. I have a weird feeling that he is trying to make me feel bad because I did not & and could not (lack of time) buy my parents anything. For evidence, every time he buys a gift he keeps smirking at me. When I ask nicely to chip in into the present he said, "Get your own gift" in a smug way (I always let him chip in into my presents) . Then when I say that I want to buy a present for my parents something he gets somewhat upset and his mood changes drastically. Please tell me what i should do! I have 30hrs left till xmas. Should I try to beat him or let it be?

me and my mum are really stressed this christmas we always are but my brother and dad are making it worse.I'm not as stressed as my mother because she does most of the work but we still stuff and prepare the turkey cook all the food wrap the presents clean up after them and entertain any visitors. All of this benefits them but they don't help AT ALL they just sit around open presents and moan about how stressed THEY are. dads been off work for the last week and all he's done is buy the turkey and beef just the turkey and beef nothing else but he sees that as some sort of pass to sit around for the rest of the holiday doing nothing. Mums been going to work still whilst fitting christmas shopping and preparations around it she only stopped work today and dad had the cheek to say "good now you can clean up you haven't hoovered for ages"!! because apparently its beneath him to even pick up HIS paper or sweep up the mud HE'S brought in because thats mums job. I mean it cant just be us.

Hi - I have been seeing this guy for about a year and I do't know how to deal with his mother/ kids etc. His kids are always ok with me (I think) and I am not too worried about them. What bothers me is his mother - she makes him feel guilty for not spending time with them when he is with me. (He sees the every other weekend and one day a week and I don't go over to his house to ensure that they get quality time). But she always phones on the weekend I am visiting saying things like 'you do't care about your kids, you should phone them etc etc' - I know she does this because I am there. He does care about them and he has them when he can - they live with their mom so he can't see them 24/7 as we both work full time and they live in another town. Why does his mother hate me. She already hates his ex. I think she want it to be him, her and his kids - opposite of the freudian theory. My self esteem is low now because I feel I can never be good enough. I have no kids. Should I end it?

45 minute break...they were talking about parents...and so forth...anyway. i sort of took offense when one girls ASK ME..."WERE my parents alcoholics?"...i was taken back by that....i mean she does NOT even know me.???? hello!!!.why would she ask such a thing.???..(I know cuz every one was talking)...But still...i politely answered "NO, they were not"...they have passed on" .question....since she was 28 years old..."does she realized what she asked?"...or should I have gotten angry and said something else??? tell me what i should have done!!!

i have been so meen to him in the past, because I had to shut him out, because he couldn't except me, and I didn't realize that I was shutting him out until recently. I was shutting him out because I was shutting everyone out and I accidently did the same to him. It took years, but I did it. Then, he got really meen to me, and when I asked momma about it, she told me about me shutting him out. I feel so horrible for being such an a**hole to him, and I want to mend our relationship, but I don't know how!!! Does anyone know? I really need some help!

recently i went on a huge camping trip with families from school that i am rele close with. it was a blast until the second night. my mom is bipolar and she had a fit and threw over one of the food tables. she was cursing at 2 of my friends moms and packed up our stuff. we left early, but on the car ride home she calmed down so we went back. the rest of the trip she stayed inside the tent and i had to bring her food. she hasnt talked to either of my friends moms yet. this rele sucks bc out of my friends, i am the closest with the two of these families. we always do outside of school things together and they all have to do with our moms talking. in school they were talking about the the things they do on saturdays together. i wasnt invited. it rele hurts my feelings that i wasnt invited. its not fair to me bc my mom is beign so childish she wont even say sorry to them. i have talked to my mom, but she says im being selfish and i cant be included in everything. but im invited to nothing!

How do you cope with the loss of a loved one around Christmas time? My grandpa passed away on the 21st and was buried this morning, Christmas is suppose to be a cheery holiday where it's all bright and joyful, but how can you be like that when your heart is broken and theres a hole there missing? Is it even possible?

My mother and sister in-law are 2 manipulative women. I'm the husband. We live 5 miles from their house, the sister in-law is 32, working here and there, and the mother is also working, as well as the father in-law... First problem I have with them is that them keep calling, all day long, whether my wife's at work or not, they don't care, in average about 10 times per day. Anyway, that isn't the main problem... Although the 3 of them work, which means 3 different incomes, they are always asking for money, but behind my back, and my wife being TOOOO good, almost always accepts to give them them some. They've got 1 car, and although they could get another one, they don't because they call my wife, again behind my back, to give them ride, here and there, and that could be between 7 to 10 times per week, and i'm frankly tired of it. For example, this morning, the sister called to tell her, not ask her, to bring her purse at work because she had forgotten it. So much to say. Need help pls !
