I think Santa knows that there are two houses to deliver gifts but maybe if the child is going to be at one house for Christmas and the other one later on, Santa needs to get a letter telling him and in that way the child will understand why there are presents at both. Be sure the child is part of the letter writing. Since it is so late, why not leave the letter with the cookies and milk. Hopefully the two households will communicate with each other so as to not spoil the holiday for the child or the adults.

Why can't Santa deliver the gifts to both homes, since the kids live in both? Why would Santa do that? So that each parent will be able to share the joy and happiness with them. If the kids are at one home, the other presents can be waiting for them for when the return to the other home. Double the fun for the kids, and no power stuggle for the parents.

You'd be surprised at how slick Santa is. This year, my daughter is going to be at her father's house for Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. So last night, Santa came here and dropped off a few gifts for her. Then, he will leave the bulk of her toys at her father's house. Last year, he mostly came to my house. Santa is very good at being fair to the children who live between two houses. He is an understanding man.

Santa is really smart and knows what's going on. He'll usually send presents to both houses.

Santa is very smart, he know where and when to leave the presents for each child. He is coming twice for my step daughter, he is coming to our house tonight and her moms house tomorrow when she is there. He will leave a few presents at each house.

My understanding, from the elves of course, is that Santa will visit both homes because Christmas is not just for kids, it is for Mom and Dad too!

In our family, he comes to both. He even knows to come a day early for my step son on the years he's here for Christmas eve and not Christmas morning. He is one smart fellow.

where ever he is spending the night, I suspose he could go to the other house a few days latter if he wanted to. or he could leave them at the other house until the child gets back home.
