My father and mother seperated when I was ten. Then, my father passed away, and my grandmother didn't treat my mother very well. I have aunties and uncles who kept in contact, and I don't believe they're evil people. They tell me they want to get to know me and my sister and I are welcome anytime. I want the chance to know my blood family on my dad's side. Is this betraying my mother? She told me I'm not welcome back if I ever visit them.

Whenever I do something just slightly unsatisfactory, my parents pick me apart, compare me to my siblings and their coworker's sons and daughters, and call me worthless as a side comment. If I get angry, and tell them it's my life, and include a couple profanities as well, is it right for them to tell me because of my temper, I'll be a failure and a homeless? Is it right for them to tell me that, because they gave birth to me, they have full rights to kill me as well, so I don't become anything less than what they want me to be? Is it okay for them to pinch me, throw shoes at me, have fist fights with me? Does trying to put 'reason' in me afterwards justify the emotional tumult they already have put me through?

I love my boyfriend but we are having problem after problem trying to get together. I just graduated college and I feel like I am not doing anything with my life. I was recently in a car accident and I still live at home with my mom which is completely unbearable. I can't live with my guy because He is in England trying to get our perfect home. I can't live at home because I seriously stress out due to my mothers voice when I am there. I don't have a car and I don't have a job. It seems that Human Resource is the hardest field ever to break into. And my phone was recently stolen by my ***** of a sister. I feel like I am finally getting ready to lose it completely. Please tell me their is something for me to do.

I just need some advise on what to make off a situation that occured on xmas day.I was at my mother- - inlaws house with my son and my partner. There was also his sister inlaw and brother with their three children. Anyway being xmas i drank a bit too much wine, its the first time i have done this in three years and had to lay down upstairs on a bed. Within about half an hour his sister in law was calling me and my partner, i have never heard such a foul mouth especially in front of the kids they were all petrified. She said i am a fat lazy cow and will never succeed in being qualified as nurse which i start in january and that we are spongers because we get help with tax credits and i am also dragging my parnter down to my level, i just cant believe this has happend we have never done anything to her.She even hit my partner across the face and told him to get a life and that he is a crap dad and that we abandon him all the time which is so untrue. What do you guys think of it all.

My bf and I have been living together for almost 2 yrs. He has 3 kids that live with their mom. The 2 younger ones are 7&9, the older is 16. I work nights and my bf works days so we dont see much of each other during the week. His kids come EVERY weekend from Friday thru Sunday at 9pm and almost every day off from school. They also come every break, and for an extended time during the summer. Their mother doesnt want them around. This is causing a strain on our relationship because we NEVER have alone time. He really expects me to cook and clean for them, do their laundry etc. My daughter is 16, so I feel like I shouldnt have to take care of little kids anymore. Is this excessive for us to have them all the time like this, or am I just being a bad person? I do like them, but I feel I am just being a substitute mom for his kids. Would other women do this? If I talk to him about it he just accuses me of not liking his kids. I just want to know what other women would do?

I have full custody and a restraining order... He is bashing me all over myspace! how sad I know... anyway, his girlfriend is 17, he says her parents signed a paper that says she can date him, is that even valid? Anyway I am tired of him and what he is saying about me. He is basically saying that I lied to him about the court dates (he was served, therefore had all the info he needed). He should have read his paperwork right? Anyway he is not allowed to be near us for a few years, he is asking people to talk about me and say horrible things about me on myspace.com. I have already saved and printed all the things he is saying about me, and all the things all of his friends are saying about me. I want to know if I have a case of statitory rape? If I call what will they tell me? does anyone have any advice?

I live in silicon valley in california, one of the most expensive places to live, so money is always low for us. Well me and my friend have both moved out of your parents house and into our own apartments. We're in our 20's and in school. Anyways neither of us had money for furniture and we didnt want hand outs from our parents so we both got living room sets including big screen tv's from rent a center. Each week my payment is $140, hers was about the same. her debit card was stolen, she got a new one but never told rent a center about it, they called her almost everyday for payment for about 3 months but have stopped calling its been about 8 months since she last paid. ive talked to other ppl and they said they have done the same and rent a center dosnt do anything about it. she's checked her credit and nothin has been reported. now im so jealous and tempted to do the same, but just cant beleive that nothing happens. has anyone done this before.

my mom, dad and I take care of my elderly grandma a lot. we go over to her apartment, clean it, do dishes, make sure she takes her meds, brings her out and to the drs, stores, etc. But noone else in my fam seems to help her with the exception of one uncle. The rest of the fam ignores her and doesnt want to be bothered bc they are too busy or w/e. This really upsets me because i know she wont be around a lot longer and they cant see that bc they are so stuck on themselves. my mom got in a huge fight with one uncle and they hardly talk. so its just us 3 who take care of gramma. its not that i dont mind taking care of her its just that i feel so angry at the rest of the fam for ignoring her. they visit her like once a month. they brought her a big present for xmas eve and had a nice dinner at her place and didnt invite us over to celebrate. the next day, on christmas day, mom and i go over to grams to pick her up, and had to clean up their mess even tho it was spotless the nite before.

He swears up and down he did not do it when I remember plain as day it happening. I told him that if he can not be man enough to at least be remorseful then I want nothing to do with him. He said it was not him and he wasnt appologizing for something he did not do and was going to take a lie detector test. He did do it!!!! Am I wrong to cut all ties and tell him to screw off?

My mom's fiance has left us and he took a whole lot of money with him and he left simply because he felt like it. My mother and his relationship was fine, there were no arguements. But none of his friends have seen or heard from him and his friends are his second family. He has simply dissapeared. He isn't where he should be. I really want to post a missing persons add online because we haven't seen or heard from him in two weeks. No one has.

I'm a touchy feely kind of person. If I see someone who's upset I want to give them a hug or touch their hand. I believe it has the ability to make us feel better, so why not? My husband of 3 yrs and I are affectionate around others, sitting next to each other and holding hands, that sort of thing. By no means do we sit with our tongues down each others throats or anything else that might be construed as 'bedroom behavior'. On Christmas Eve, after a very pleasant evening where we visited with his family, my husband's mother asked "Do you two ever NOT have your hands all over each other?" All we'd done was sit close to each other and I'd had my hand on his knee. I was very embarassed and feel it's impossible to be myself in their company. My husband says it's not a sin to show we love each other but does not speak up to her. The more uncomfortable I feel, the more I want him to hold my hand to support me. Crazy. Should we stop?

I am the youngest in a family of 5. The oldest has passed on, while another one lives in a foreign country. The other 2 live within my local area, but I have no relationship with them at all. Frankly, I am relieved to have nothing to do with them, now that we are well into our 40s and 50s. I have no energy left to devote to this no-win situation. There is too much rage, jealousy, envy and one-upmanship competition. My sister once warned me about growing old alone and all by myself without them. I am happily married today, but with no kids. My husband understands the situation in my family and has been fully supportive of me. Your thoughts?
