I do not sponge off of my parents, they do help me a lot because they know I work hard, his parents died at different times dad when 11 and mom at 18. He also basically supports his older brother. I have problems as well but why let go of someone who has your back in everything you do. Maybe I am just too good!

I am 15 with a baby (6 months) I just want to know why do yall act as if yall were never a teenager. okay so some of us get carried away and 9 months later have a baby to take care of our child what do that got to do with you. I mean we both are still in school. I'm not gon say that my baby was a mistake and neither should any other teenager say, becuz my baby was a blessing. And I'll chose to be at home with someone that give me joy then to be out parting. What I'm tring to say is that for all you parents who have a teen daughter os son with a baby, stop being so hard on them. This is the time they need you. Hey you was a teen you was just lucky enough to not have ti to happen to you. THINK ABOUUT THAT!!! yall just don't know what yall put yall children through.

THE SCARS OF LIFE

Some years ago, on a hot summer day in south Florida , a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went.

He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.

His father working in the yard saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could.

Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father. It was too late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him. From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go. A farmer happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator.

Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved.

The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show him his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because my Dad wouldn't let go."

You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you.

The Scripture teaches that God loves you. You are a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way. But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril - and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go.

Please pass this on to those you love. God has blessed you, so that you can be a blessing to others. You just never know where a person is in his/her life and what they are going through.

Never judge another persons scars, because you don't know how they got them. Also, it is so important that we are not selfish, to receive the blessings and not pass it on.

Right now, someone needs to know that God loves them, and you love them, too - enough to not let them go.

On holidays my husband and our two children are expected to go over to his parents and my parents homes. No one will come over here, we've asked. They won't even come to our house for birthdays. They skipped my daughters last three birthdays because we had the party at our house. Would it be wrong if we just told them, sorry but we are staying home this year? How many people every year leave the comforts of home to visit family and don't get the returned comfort of having others over? I tried to ask my mother if we could come over on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day but she changed to subject and told me dinner was on Christmas only. So anyone have an answer to my Christmas delemia? I don't want to be rude or act like family isn't important but can't they bend a little so my kids can spend their Christmas at home?

My 24 year old daughter has a two year old girl she has never cared for. When the baby was born a great aunt cared for her until my daughter got upset with her and took her to another relative. Finally, after some noticable abuse, department of Family services got involved. I cared for my granddaughter for a few months but was unable to continue since I have a baby too and homeschool my other son. The baby was in foster cares (5 in all) for 7 months and then the paternal aunt got custody. We were all delighted as she seemed responsible with two children close in age to my granddaughter. She has had her a couple of months and decided that she has "bitten off more than she can chew." Now, the baby will most likely go back into foster care. I feel guilty that I cannot care for her. When she was in foster care child advocacy said she was probably sexually abused. She had vaginal scarring and adheshions. I have tried to talk to child services.I have a court hearing Thursday. Advce??

Would she have to adopt her back from me? Or, could I sign some type of guardianship paper giving her custody? In the end, I want to have NO legal responsibility for the child. It would be like reversing the adoption I suppose. We are trying to get this done with the minimum of expense.
Thank you all for any advice offered.

My question is my bother and sister in-law lives in the same town, Most of the time they don't have much to do with my mother and step father unless they want some money. my mother said they have given them over 20,000 this year and that was most of the savings. Now my sister in-law is taking care of my step father he has been sick and can't walk very good and has a hard time signing his name, other then that he is in good heath. My mother in ICU and my sister in-law is telling the the hospital that she is my sister and is signing papers work for do test and she even sign to put my mother on life support if she needs it. She would never want to be on life support. Is that legal?

This is my first year at college, and I just found out that I bombed a test and flunked the class I studied really hard and not the night before. My dad is going to upset with me, and I really hate to disappoint him. My other classes are fine. What is a way I can about telling him without ripping my head off. I already feel like a loser as it is. I don't need rude comments. Thanks.

I feel really mean because im 1. a snob and 2.a favorite picker,
my mom died when I was 2 and ive had a step mom since I was 4, I really love her, but we argue every day, I used to do alot of small things for her, ( when I was 7) like make little cards for her or pickup pretty leaves, and now since ive grown out of that I try to show her that I don't want any other mom but her, but I don't think its that clear,...I feel so bad, ive tried everything, but somehow I always do something to provoke an argument.

i left an old crush of mine (back from 3rd grade, we still keep in touch) a comment on myspace on her picutre and said she looked really nice. i got an IM from her today, & she started with a smile and we started talking about my girl problems, i just got out of something with someone on sat night and she said screw that with a winky face and said im too good for the bs & started talking about how she gets attatched to guys quick and that they always leave her just as she does get attatched. then she had said "if i had stuck with you in 3rd grade, this wouldnt be a problem" & she then said we must hang out over winter break cuz shes at home for a month.

we also had a little encounter about 2 or 3 summers ago, she wanted to kiss me new years & we were both on vacation at disney with our fams in HS but i couldnt get to her cuz my parents were too lazy to make the trip.

is she hinting that she wants to give me a shot? or am i overanalyzing?

I have a few family members that I know for a fact send out Cristmas cards. For the past 2 years I have sent them cards and they did not respond and send me one. I don't know what their problem is and if I should be the bigger person continue to send them cards or if I should be just as rude as they are and not send them anymore. (Wouldn't this just show them that it bothered me that they didn't send me a card though?) I used to be really close to these family members and don't know what their problem is. What would you do?
