I empathize with you...but after 28 years, with no communication or ATTEMPTS on his part, I finally found my birth father, and was sadly disappointed.

I only had directory information from the phone companies at the time, so I kept asking for him in states and areas that I thought he may live in. I knew he worked for the B&O Railroad which is back east. It took me a long time, but it paid off.
You have computer access so you should must type in anything that might bring up a website (i.e. "missing parents", "locate birth father", anything you can think of)...there are lots of them, but sorry none come to mind right now. You could also check Oprah Winfrey's website, as she does a lot of this kind of work and might have some info or a link that could help.

I wish you luck, and by the way, have you tried asking your mother for some kind of information, or maybe another family member, or friend of the family....think back and see if you remember someone or something that might connect you to your past.

Hope this helps a little.

Good luck!!!

p.s. I hope it turns out better for you than it did for me. My birth father didn't even acknowledge the death of my son, who in his arrogance had assumed that I named after him!!!

You will need your birth certificate, try from there.

First, make sure you know what the reason was of your mom possibly protecting you from.
