Family - November 2006

My mother is in a home now for the last 6 months.I spend every 2nd night there till 9 pm with her.She is blind and cannot walk and spends her hours crying because of dementia and depression .They are trying do what they can with medication but its a hit and miss most times.
What I would like to find is something for her to do with her time instead of thinking too much..she has use of her hands so something that would keep her hands and mind busy at the same time would be great. She dont like those audio books. I am looking forward to any ideas you might have

I think they are mad, yesterday they called me telling me that my mom wanted to talk to me. When I went over they all jumped me and tryied to beat me up. I was free ballin and only had sleeping pants on and in the midst of the struggle my penis popped out and slapped one of them in the face. After that I told her, I'm sorry I dick slapped you and they all got mad and made me leave.

I am 23 and my wife is 19. We have 3 kids. A 2 year old son, a 1 year old son, and a daughter on the way. Yes we are young parents but we are good parents. We have our own place and provide our kids with everything they need. We really are a happy family. Yet when we go out places and people see how young we are with kids they stare at us and give us dirty looks. Like they're looking down on us or something. Why is that?

My husband's job just turned into a night job, so we never see each other. He leaves for work before I get home and I leave for work while he's sleeping. It's only been two days, but it's sucks terrible. He's a truckdriver and we live in a very rural area with few jobs. How do I keep from being bitchy and depressed. It's like I'm a single mom (yes, I've been there so I can compare), and I just hate it. We always do everything together, from cooking meals to playing with the kids, homework, entertainment, etc. I feel like crying all evening.

Here is the breakdown. I come from a blended family and we are about the most passive-agressive bunch you ever did meet! It consists of My dad,step-mom,&two step-brothers. We are all grown children and have families of our own. I am close with my older brother's wife. Here's the problem; Everybody tiptoes around my step-mom. We are all afraid to confront her b/c she will always turn it around, it is NEVER her fault. Since my kids were born my family has been so helpful. I always keep my mouth shut because I do need their help but now I have had enough. She isn't speaking to my dad now b/c they had a disagreement and he used 'tone' with her. Last year she didn't speak to him for about 8 months for the same reason. Now she has been dishing on my husband and who I choose to spend time with (she claims they are trashy and we shouldn't let my kids around these people) she is so judgemental and I am tired of it! She is so nice to your face but don't turn your back! what do i do?

I have been married for 20 years now. I can't understand why it is that my husband will not stand up to his parents, brother, or sisters. It seems like it is ok for his wife, daughter and son to be upset, but heaven forbid making any waves with his side of the family. He has hurt his relationship with me, and both his children because of it. I just want reason why he can't stand up to them. He will always say, "I don't want to make any waves" or if his mother were to insult me he'll say, "it's just mom, she is truly ignorant and doesn't know any better, just ignore her" Or he doesn't want to fight with his brother over hurting our son by some of the crap he does. I just don't get it.

I had my 2 children taken away from me a year ago because my son was a runner and got out of the house when i was busy with the other child they are 2 and 3 now i use to pride myself on being a good mother but i was serverly depressed at the time because my daughters twin died in the hopsital at 6 days old since then i have attended alchol treatment parenting classes medication for my depression i see a counsolor i got re mearried we both work full time we have a nice house with a fenced yard we have a car but they are still giveing me crap because the foster mom is best friends with the case worker and she wants to keep my kids.i went to court on sep 1 and the judge kicked the case worker off the case but i still feel the opinon is bias i never hurt my kids or yelled at them they always had everything they needed and i love them very much I was just very depressed at t hat tiime i dont feel like the babies should have been taken away from me to begin with .

when i was in the 7th grade, my dad wanted custody of me and wanted me to live with him...we had to go to court and in the papers he sent to my house..the tings he said were MAD!! he said i was overweight,wore tight clothes,and a bunch of other things that werent TRUE!! he hasnt called me in a LONG time..and on oct. the 14th i hurt my knee(right) and had to ahve surgery the 17th of oct...and when i nana(dads mom) said she was going to call him and tell him,HE DIDNT EVEN CALL ME TO SEE IF I WAS OKAY!! do i need to call me dad and get things straight or not do anything at all? what should i do or what would u do??? i would like to hear from guys AND girls

Why does my dad hate my feancie so much? I've asked and he says he doesn't but I can tell he does, he treats him real bad. I've told him that Chris, my feancie, won't do anything that'll hurt me intentually and that I'll always be his, my dads', little girl and nothing would ever tear me away from him, and that I'd always be there for him like he has for me. her mom kicked her out, she already graduated high school, she is 21yrs old almost 22 and she takes care of her younger brother because mom cant, or dont want to. my daughter works a full time job and goes to night school plus takes care of her brother. her mom does not give her any money towards taking care of him and does not give her any of the child support money.
