what you should do is call your local county clerk and ask themwhat they need from you to get that persons birth certificate. im sure they will need the power of attorney document for proof, but, they may also need other documentation too. good luck!!!

You dont need a power of attorney to get a birth certificate. As long as you know where he/she was born, you can even request one by mail most of the time...with a charge of course.

depending on where the bc is from you can just order it online and they will send it to you...power of attorney or no.
