i used to cut, but when i did she started to yell at me, saying that if i keep on cutting and if the school finds out, then doctors will be watching me my whole life. is she right? and would a real mother start off this way by making me fear to make me stop?

yes, i have stopped cutting, but is she right that doctors will follow me for the rest of my life if they found out? and is that a bad thing?

I planned my life to move in with my separated boyfriend and look for a job. He wanted to work things out with his wife, so I told him he should. He also said that he felt responsible to me and I should think about things before making a decision. I told him that was it, and I packed up my stuff and my cats and drove 15 hours to my sister's house. She has 3 kids and 6 animals already.

My cat's are hiding and I'm sleeping on a blow up bed in one of the kid's room. It's a weird situation for everyone and I don't know what to do. I'm tempted to call the ex and take him up on his offer until I find a job.

All of my daughters group have already had parties, and they got bigger and more out of control. I dont want that, but want to have a simple, fun time for the kids. She loves pink, so i am thinking of a pink theme somehow, not sure what. Last party she went to (last week) I helped chaperone. There was a 400 dollar DJ at a rented hall with gourmet caterer, kids drinks (actual martini type drinks minus the alcohol) fireworks at midnight. CRAZY!
Is this the trend all over the country? I think it must come from that show, my super sweet 16.

I just got married last month and this is a big problem. My husband wants us to combine all our bank accounts. Right now its set -up as "his" "mine" "ours". I have my own savings and he does too and we just put money into our combined account every month for household bills. This worked great when we were engaged but my husband said he has never heard of married couples doing this and wants all our money put into joint accounts.Heres the problem that i have with it, he was married before and has a child that he spends tons of money on to the point he can't pay his c.c bills.I don't mean to sound like a evil stepmom but if he wants to go into debt so jr. can have everything he wants let him do it with his own money. I just need to know what you guys think. I'm just afraid if we pool our money he will see it as free money to spend as he wants. So do any married couples out there have a bank account in just their name?

My parents were together almost 40 years when we found out my Dad was having an affair. Some tart from his office. My mum had been unwell with a cancer scare and a heart op the year before. It is almost 3 years ago now and I know she feels that life is not worth living anymore no matter how we are all there for her. He now lives with this other woman. He has done this to her before in the first 20 yrs of their marriage. But she forgave every affair and believed he would change. It was 20 yrs before he did it again (as far as we know) I am one of five children. ( 23-43yrs) We had started to have a relationship again with our Dad again until he deceived us again over my mums house. My mum lives with our 37 yr old special needs sister. The house was damaged and she had to move. Now he wants money from the compensation. As much as he can get. I miss the Daddy I had. I looked up to him so much. But I hate him deeply for the pain he has caused and I know I cant forgive him. Again. Would you?

I spend my friday evenings with my friends and thats it.

The whole saturday and sunday, I spend with my wife and 3 year old daughter. On Saturday, we go visit my wife's parents or my parents and sometimes my wife or my siblings. Then I take my wife for dinner and a movie. On Sundays be at home and spend time with my daughter and then we go to McDonalds and come home and watch with my daughter a kids movie. In the evening my wife and I take her to places like zoos, museum, parks, picnic etc.

So I'm like the whole Saturday and Sunday with my family. I like it spending more time with my wife and daughter than with friends.

I'm 28 years old.

Is this okay and am I living a normal life or do I need more time with my buddies? But I love spending time with my family. Does all this make me weird

I am an american soldier serving in OIF for the first time in my military carreer, before deploying, my wife and I were expecting our first child together, a beautifull baby girl. I had to leave before she was born, but three weeks after I left she arrived into this crazy world. She is three months old now. I know parents focus has to change when they begin to have children, but I'm so used to getting all of my wifes attention. Now, I'm lucky if I get to talk to my wife alone for more than five minutes at a time. I'm a needy guy, I feel bad because I'm so jealous, but I can't help it.

My 7 year old son went through a very rebellious period last year.
I tried all the usual Supernanny 'time out' things without success and even smacked him with my hand - which he just laughed at.
But when I spanked his bottom with my slipper he took notice and behaved. Now I have a 'magic slipper' - If he's naughty I just take it off and show it to him and he behaves! But I'm reading everywhere that it's wrong to spank with anything other than your hand. Question is, should I give this excellent deterrent up for the sake of political correctness?
