going on in our lives? These days theres barely time to breath. The work, kids, chores. The stress of world events, and whats going on in our own backyards. There seems to be less quality time for families. I remember living for the moment enjoying just knocking around with mates out in the street. Now I freak out letting my kids check the mailbox??????/

My mom and I are having SERIOUS issues. One of the main things we fight a/b is her deciding that I HAVE to break up with my boyfriend. We've been together for 14 months and we are very much in love. He had a suicide attempt in July becuase he was very depressed and stressed out over family and money issues. It was a very scary time but he has been seeing a doctor and got on some meds. to help him. He has also had some problems in the past being disrespectfu w mom (i.e hanging up the phone on her and saying bad words in our house, rolling his eyes) but recently he wrote her a nice letter a/b how sorry he was and that a girl like me didn't deserve that and that he would change. My mom also doesn't like his mother very much, but I think that if he is willing to appologize he should be given a second chance. This isnt about his mother. Now, my mom is saying that she and I will go to a Dr. and he will get to decide if Im allowed to still be with him or not. What do you think he'll say

I have only two daughters, each one has two young children. About a month ago a huge argument occured and now they are not talking. My oldest daughter wants to try and make amends but my youngest daughter refuses. My grandchildren are the ones who are mostly affected by this and it breaks my heart. Until this is resolved there can be no family get togethers, thanksgiving, christmas and we have the majority of all their birthdays coming up soon. I don't know what to do. Can someone with some psychology background pleaseeeee help me. My heart breaks more each day.

drugs since he's been around 14. Not just w/ pot that would have been an easy problem. Its been w/ everything form oxycotton to heroin to sniffing glue. We have had him in alot of different programs. conseling, detox centers, rehabs. He moved away down south about a year ago. Called me up said he was seeing a guy but he's not gay. I told him know matter what were behind him. I got off the phone dumbfounded. What the heck dose that mean is he just experimenting? or just dose not want admit it? or is it just an excuse for being unmoral if your gay your gay and thats understandable I understand your born that way but to me being by-sexual is just a excuse to be able to do what you want when you want w/ who ever. My husband said maybe thats whats been wrong w/ him why he has been trying to self medicate because he did'nt know how to face his emotions. How ever is he still not facing his emotions or is it just an excuse?

My mother in law died not long ago and left her house to my wife in her will. Two years earlier my mum in laws dad advised her to put the title deeds to the house in his name because she owed the tax man £1000 pounds and was struggling to pay and was afraid she could lose her house.
Now my wifes grandad is refusing to change the deeds and hand the house over to my wife saying its legally his.
The wifes really upset not just because of the fact that she helped pay for the house for her mum but also that her own family would do something like this.Is there anything we could do?

Ever since I've known my hubby, I've known his bro, and his bro lies alot. He is only 16 and when he lies, one person will get one story and the next person a different story. He tends to tell each person what they want to hear. Or sometimes he'll lie to everyone at once then he'll have to fess up because his story doesn't match when he tells it again. I've talked to my hubby about this because we caught him in a lie yesterday. I told hubby that I can't trust him and he agreed and seemed angry at his bro. I'm VERY hard pressed to trust him at all. I don't know what to do, I can't tell if the kid is BS'ing me or not, until someone gets a different story. Should I take everything he says as a lie or what? I need advice, thanks!

I saw a question regarding spanking this morning. I am totally against spanking. but it got me to thinking about growing up in the 1960's when it was an acceptable form of punishment. I had to lay over a bed and get spanked on the bare behind with a belt. I am curious to know if there were others punished in this way, especially people over 40.
