Family - September 2006

My parents both whistled while working, doing mundane tasks and when alone in genaral. I have done this as well for maaany years, often times the "Tune of the Day", and often will whistle a tune low in volume when I notice that I am come approaching a person who might not know that someone is in the nearby area so as not to startle them. Among you whistlers, (NOT WOLF WHISTLES),did your parent(s) have this same habit?

i want to hook my boys up with a desk more like a table for homework theres a nice one at ikea for $59.99 but my husband thinks we should just spend $20.00 on legs and make the top out of ply wood.but im afraid it wouldnt ba as smooth and sleek as the one at ikea. hes all about saving money,wich is great.but i just want a nice table that will last as well as look good.what should we do?

I am doing peturnity test to make sure the guy who I belive is the dad really is. He is being a complet jerk about it and won't even talk to me about it. He has a good job and used to be in the navy. I have nothing against him and don't want to keep him from her but he said if he is the dad he is going to fight for custody. I relize that he will probably only be able to get joint if any but I need to know what I can do to prevent him from being able to take her over a hour away for a week. Please serious advice only please I am desperate. My daughter means everything to me and I admit it was my fault for having a one night stand but I have been raising my daughter by my self and if he gets joint I will go crazy. I am not trying to keep him from her I just don't know him well enuf to let her go like that. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Before I married my husband he got himself into some trouble legally. He has been on probation for about 2 years or more for theft. Since I have been with him he has turned his life over to the Lord and we pray all the time that this will be behind us so that he can get a good job. But he takes care of the house adn the kids while I'm at work (doctors appt, denist appt, report card pick-up) you get the point . Just when I think our relationship is getting better, she goes and does or says something cruel to or about me. She knows I'm looking for a job until I get back in school, and she goes and tells me father that the reason she isn't helping me with a college bill is because "I'm lazy and doesn't want to do anything." She KNOWS that's a lie. Even when she and I go out together, I'm always applying somewhere or asking if the place is hiring. She KNOWS this. I don't expect her to pay my bills, but she could have at least offered, and she did NOT have to talk about me like that to my father. Could she really feel that cruel and hateful toward me?

I have son who at the age of 44 got caught with drugs is now doing three years in Prison
