She met him while in high school, he convinced her to leave home her senior year after knowing her a few months when trying to stop her from leaving he told me to F off. I have banned him from my home since that day. His family has continually interfered with my relationship with my daughter by overstepping my rules. He doesn't work, depends on his mama to supply his needs. Now he is depending on my daughter to support him. I can't get her to see the light and get out while there is still time. I know at this point she can decide what she wants since she is 18, and I don't want to loose my relationship with her, but I still don't want to accept him. Any one been there that can offer some real advice?

Okay. This question was inspired by a friend who asked an family related question on ethics. My grandma has alzheimer's. Really badly in fact. She can't remember where she is half the time, she thinks dead relatives are still alive. She drifts in and out of random memories and finds herself locked in the time period they happened in until she moves along.

She's not well physically either. Her lower back and hip are broken and we can't set them due to the brittle old bones. She lives her days out in bed at her daughter's home.

My question is...is it ethical for me to hope she passes on soon? I feel guilty for feeling that way, but she's living a horrible, painful existance right now and I hate to see her suffer every day, looking at the world around her with confusion in her once sharp eyes as her mind slowly fades away from her.

Is it wrong of me to want her to hopefully go to a better place? I'm not religious, but this is the sort of thing that makes me hope for God.

My grandpa married a Mormon woman with 7 children when my father was a teen.

My father and I weren’t raised Mormon, we are the only ones who aren’t Mormon.

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and we are not Mormon.

My Mormon family brings up babies every time they see my wife.

They have told her that they want her to have at least 5 children like everyone else in the family.

My step-cousin is 25 (like me) and has 4 children and wants 2 more.

So they really want me to follow their ways of MANY kids.

We are planning to have our first baby soon, and we are having two children only.

What can I do to get it thru their heads we are not following the Mormon way of life?

I moved to another stated to clear my head of her but she called and came to visit I asked her if she wanted something to drink and stated that no b/c my house dont look clean. This is the story. A relative who has only visited my grandmother once, 20 years ago. Now she have visited my grandma twice in the last few years and is now staying with my grandma for a few months. Is see trying to smooze my grandma to all the inheritance? My grandma is 93 years old

Seems erriely similar to the Sopranos when Janice Soprano, tonys sister, visits out of the blue and starts living with Livia, Tonys grandma.

What signs should I lookout for?

Have parents got any rights these days?
I don't believe in smacking a child so hard as to leave a mark but a little smack gets the message through to a child too young to understand what your talking about. Children these days, and I'm speaking generally have no respect for any one let alone their parents. Are they told more than than should be?
