My daughter will be eighteen soon. Her mother ran off with her when she was five and I haven't been with her since. She stopped writing to me recently and won't talk with me on the phone. Every now and then she asks me for a walmart gift card, but won't talk to me on the phone even a few minutes. It makes me think something bad is going on over there. It is like it is someone else sending the email. I can't believe she would act this way. I don't know what to do.

Really does not matter wether your children are thin/or not: have a clean/messy home: work/home/retired: cps gets a report on you they will/and do take your children. They are even interviewing kids at school, without you/or a lawyer present. They are even handing out their business cards to kids in school. They do-not go by the book. They will make promises, tell you things will work out. Then turn around and lie on/about you. Laws need to be changed, or it will be the KIDS that suffer in the end.

When I was young I was raped by my uncle. I wasn't in a position to do anything about it, and my mother chose to cut him out of our lives rather than go to the police. I'm an adult now, and just today I found out that he now has a wife and three children, and of course has never been punished for his crime. I can't live with myself knowing that because I couldn't do anything to stop it, he may be abusing three little children. Is there anything I can do to protect the children?

I will not lie I can get into a lot of Emo music. There are maybe three "Hair Band" songs that I can tolerate without playing a drum solo on my eardrum with a paperclip. Since Hair Bands were at least as big if not bigger than Emo, and guys with mascara continue to be popular I can only figure that the music changed but the latent "girly man" rock life style lives on.

As a secondary question, does this mean when I disagree with my folks I should listen to John Denver and think about why we think differently?

She is 14. She has a boyfriend and she went to an amusement park with him and afterwards they went to his house so she could meet his sister. He asked her if she wanted to have sex. She said no because it's unsafe and stuff. He said he was going to rape her and kill her because of that.
1. she said that he was drunk
2. he's 15 years old
3. we have called the cops and they said no biggy, not to worry.

My mom is treating my like I'm three but I'm really 16. She is trying to control everything I do. I have had a boy friend for a year. In the beginning I was told that some other chick held his heart strings. The more I learned, I found that this chick was with another guy and was having sex with both of them. Anyhow, here is the thing, for our ENTIRE relationship, she has tried to butt herself back in the picture. She has made it known that she wants him back, even though she is still with the other man, (wants her cake and to eat it too.) She calls him, or he waits to call her when I am not around. I tried to tell him how bad it hurts me that she is still around, and no matter what I say, he INSISTS they are still friends and he doesn't want to lose her. Anyhow, he went to where a huge group of his friends were camping, and she was there. I knew she would be but I tried to trust him. He gave me no details at all of that night. His friend PMed me today to tell me how she tried to pull him off in the woods with her, alone, and he didn't tell me about it, but he insists he didnt go.
