Okay, if you are about equal rights for women I just don't even want to hear it.

Tell her to get back in the kitchen and make you some sandwiches.

If you don't want to hear from feminists, then stop posting questions that do nothing but demean and belittle women! What do you expect? Women are NOT mindless trolls who want to be told what to do, what to wear and how to think.

You have issues. You don't need a girlfriend, you need a dog.

Dogs can be taught "who is in charge." They don't care if you sound like a jerk, as long as you don't hit them.

Dogs can be let outside during a movie and left home during a long car ride, eliminating the need for an adult diaper.

Dogs don't have to be groomed, so they can have their hair as long as you would prefer.

Dogs can be named whatever you want and can be ordered to take your last name.

Dogs don't watch movies or care about men in their underwear.

Dogs won't want to wear low-rider jeans.

Dogs will give you the undying loyalty that you seem to need. Your self-esteem must be in the gutter to have so many control issues over another human being.

Sorry. In this day and age, that attitude is the personification of jerk!

Partnerships (whether in work or life) have to have compromise and discussion. Telling someone how something's going to be without any wiggle room is arrogant, conceited, and just plain rude! Your partner isn't a child - and if she is, you have no right being in a romantic relationship with her! Children get the dictatorship treatment, partners get the right to negotiate.

There is always the caveat: if you're referring to her drinking excessively, gambling the mortgage away, smacking the kids around, sleeping with the gardener, or things of that nature, of course there's the option of "take it or leave it."
However, this is the ONLY time that rule should apply. The rest of the time, its negotiation - not "my way or the highway."

You will still be called a jerk by trying to do something like that.In a relationship it is (50)(50),y'all also have to have some kind of understanding and respect for one another. In a relationship y'all have to be friends too.No one should be in full controll or try to be in full controll, cause it will never work out for the both of you. When a man is being controlling towards a woman, the woman will get misserable and tired of that and then she will leave you alone.I went through that with a man and I left him alone for good, cause I am a grown woman and I don't need to be razed all over again. So good luck on that issue.

IF YOU happen to be a person who is insecure about themselves and feel the need to control other people, by all means go ahead and say exactly what you said here.

IF SHE is the type of insecure, easily diminished person you think she SHOULD be, she will become emotionally cowered, be your whipping girl, and volunteer to be subjected to your every whim and demand (which will become more pronounced, and abusive over time).

However, IF you both respect and love yourselves as autonomous beings, you will BOTH agree on a compromise in the paradigm of your relationship so that BOTH of you will receive what you need and be able to give freely, with no "laws", exactly what you are ABLE and comfortable in giving.

IF neither of you considers each other their equal, then I strongly suggest you both pass on ANY relationships until you BOTH learn this state of being.

If you have to lay the law down too prove you have a penis, I suggest you forget women, use your hand and return to the hole you crawled out of. You wont have to worry about looking like a jerk you already are a jerk..

There is no "laying down the law" in a REAL relationship. Relationships have to do with compromise. An if you told me that I would diffently be out in a flash. So the best way would be just not to do it.

I have to agree with the other answers. Relationships have to be 50/50 or it isn't going to work. She might let you "lay down the law" at first, if she does at all, but in the end that kind of relationship doesn't work.

Anyone who would even think of doing something like that is a jerk. And the result will be a disaster. You are about to make a huge mistake.

With authority comes responsibility. Show the responsibility and then the authority will be given.
