I would not really worry about it to much, they will come around. You have to also put into perspective is the person that you are dating the youngest in the family. If so that could be the main reason right there. The rents just might not want to give them up right now no matter the age of the person.
Cook them dinner take it from there if that does not work maybe you can try somehting nice like take the mom out for a day with you to a movie. Justhave small talk as well that migth break the tension. I hadthe same problem awhile ago and it just took time for them to get use to me in that persons life.

It is a horrible situation because your s.o. might end up in the unfortunate situation of being forced to choose between him or you. That being said, my g.f. was in this situation and i'm glad that she was strong enough to stick with me. Our love is strong and we were able to survive the storm long enough for my parents to come around and treat her like family. It is tough but if the love is real then i say it is worth the fight. If not, run like hell.

well this is a tricky one, but I've been handling it for 3 years myself. Just basically, you have to TRY to get invovled in with what they do. Try to fit in conversation if ever at a dinner table or a living room get-together. Whenever I had this problem, I showed exactly what I wanted her parents to see. It doesnt hurt sometimes to lie either. All you have to do, is try, try try. But whatever you do, dont give up. A relationship that ends over "parental back up" just doesnt sound right.

ALL YOU CAN DO IS HOPE AND PRAY THAT ONE DAY THEY WILL COME AROUND AND SEE YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL PERSON THAT YOU ARE. IF IT CAUSES TOO MANY PROBLEMS THEN MAYBE YOU AND YOUR SIG. OTHER SHOULD HAVE A TALK WITH THE PARENTS AND FIND OUT WHERE THE REAL ISSUE IS STEMMING FROM AND HOW YOU ALL CAN GET PAST IT. LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR SILLINESS.

When you are truly in love, like spending the rest of your life with someone kind of love, it doesn't matter what his/her family thinks of you. You can be cordial around each other when you have to be. You don't have to be best friends with them. Just don't voice your opinions about his/her family if you're truly in love.

It's gonna difficult to win his parent's hearts, but it worth to try if you love him very much. Show them that you are a good girl with a good attitude, that you are the girl who suit for their boy.

You should make a move! try to please his parents...be yourself and let them feel that you really love their son....express it in a nice manner be polite and be patient...do what you can do be optimist...fight for your love....then suddenly pray....if you do all of that and it didn't work you should accept the fact that you are not meant for each other...find the right one...:)
